Can anyone here help me?

We're arriving in Orlando on Saturday, checking into Disney resort Sunday.

I'm looking to get a room at Motel 6 for that first night, I've been to their web page and two come up as follows:

1. Motel 6 Orlando-Kissimmee Main Gate East #464
5731 W Irlo Bronson Highway
Kissimmee, FL 34746
(407)396-6333 4.3 miles

2. Motel 6 Orlando-Kissimmee Main Gate West #436
7455 W Irlo Bronson Highway
Kissimmee, FL 34747
(407)396-6422 11.2 miles

I'm trying to get the one closest to All Star Movies resort as that is where we'll check into the following morning, we've never been so I don't know which is better/closer/easier to get around to ASMo on Sunday morning. When I use mapquest or google maps with the address I find for ASMo it seems to lead us into Downtown Disney (I'm assuming there is a centralized customer service office or something that is what the address is) so I can't figure it out that way.

Can anyone here tell me which one is closer to our Disney resort?

thanks in advance!! :thumbsup2

both are about the same from the main entrance.

west - get on us 192 left - then a couple of miles down the road is World drive -

however that is not the easy - west - turn right on us 192 less than a mile (2 traffic lights I think) is Sherbert road turn right - at the traffic light turn right (where it says only WDW employees can go straight) - you are now on Osceola Parkway - the all star exit is the next one on the right (get in the middle lane - the right one ends before this exit)

from east - you would turn right and just follow the signs - you are looking for World drive - turn off at the All star exit (I think it is the second - but LOOK it might be the first)

mapquest does not have alot of the Disney address. it can get you to WDW - but that is all. WDW is a big property.

for some reason none of the sites have the lastest WDW map.
http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/propertymap.htm

you can see US 192 and see where all star is located on this map.

So if we wanted to come in from the east we should stay in the Motel 6 by the east gate, right? :rotfl2: sorry, I'm trying to "see" this in my head when in fact I haven't been in that area in years, let alone WDW!

thanks for your help! I'm going to save your directions so I have them come September!! :rotfl:

before the road system got complex - in the 80's even early 90's

there was US 192 - since these hotels were build to be used for WDW guests - West (description) is the west side of World Drive (WDW). East (description) is the east side of World Drive.

US 192 goes west and east - but the description are where they are in relationship to World Drive.

make sense?
