Most you wanted to know about the Magic 7-day cruise in ONE thread! IMPORTANT!!!

Mark, thanks so much for all of your help. What a guy you are to take time from your wonderful vacaton on board the Magic to answer all of our questions!! I hope you enjoy Castaway Cay, isn't it wonderful!! Now, if only Disney would have 2 days here, we'd all be in heaven.
Carolyn

Mark....thanks for all your efforts while on your cruise...it really is appreciated by us back at home. We will be boarding tomorrow!!! Yeah!!!

Anyway, I had already updated my chart with the new formal/semi-nights, but was just not sure of the menus nights. I will update those when I return home.

I hope you had a wonderful cruise and I hope the 5/17 week has weather as good as yours!!!

I want to echo the other sentiments here. Thanks so much for taking time out from YOUR vacation to answer our questions.

Hey, BD, I didn't know they had PS on CC? Cool :)

Well, hope that room won't be too noisy. Aw, who cares, my kids will be in 6131. We took the veranda room for ourselves :D

I also want to say thanks again Mark!!!! This has been awesome and makes my trip in July (yes, we are on the 19th one!!! :D ) becoming more and more exciting for me!!!! Thanks again and I hope you did enjoy the rest of your cruise.

Thank you for taking the time to answer everyone's questions.

Just one more,

would you be willing to pick up one Easter and one Mother's Day pin for a cruiser who won't be going until November (at which time I will pick up any current pins for anyone who would like one)?

I would be more than willing to reimburse you for the pins, shipping and all the space they take up in your suitcase.

If so, just let me know, if not I completely understand.

Thanks,

As someone who is going on the first cruise EVER on June 7, it is SO much fun to read what you have written so far. It sort of puts me there, and makes the anticipation that much more intense. Thanks!!

Mark & Mary~ thank you SO much for taking time out of your vacation to keep us all posted. I hope you're going to relax and enjoy your last day.

Don't worry about us, we'll be here when you get back, and we're eagerly waiting for the end of your "trip report"....LOL, Your on-going report has been great, I doubt there's much more you can add!

Thanks, Jeanny :teeth:

You're all very welcome!

Well, to answer the burning question at the top of this page, We saw Ellen this am at CC. To quote her-"Wot????" Basically, that's a long past thing for her and she's really moved on. She (and others that were at the gear rental shack this am) were fascinated that we talk about them. :)

THANK YOU.......

I too have enjoyed reading both of the threads and cannot wait for our trip the First one after dry dock and we too will
probably post like u have done ...... but we will have some
stiff competion with all the other Nuts who will be on board...
40 familys so far on this cruise so it should be a blast it was a blast when we went on the Inaugural Western had alot of familys from this board on that trip as well.. it was so nice just being able to walk around the ship and stopping and talking to people u felt like u knew... and got to know alittle more ........ it is just a feeling........ u know when u r in a room full of strangers and it is hard to start a conversation..... u did not have that ........ was the best cruise we have been on so far......

the only thing is that Tnrobin and family Likes to follow us on our trips......
We go to Disney World there She is, we go on a cruise there she is ............ lol
thanks again Peter

On our last cruise 2 years ago, we had an asst. waiter named Ellen from Austrailia... is this the same Ellen you are talking about? I know that Ellen was a charm :)

Hey Marc, thx again for the updates! I hope your CC weather was good! Welcome home, sry your cruise is over!!

Mark, thanks for all the information. We leave in just under 1 week! We we wondering what to expect from the daytime and nighttime temperatures. Did you need a jacket/sweater at all in the evenings?

TIA

Hi all - I'm Mark's wife - since he is in bed with a fever (better at home than on the cruise) I'll try to answer the last couple of questions.

Beth - the Ellen we were talking about is from New Zealand and is on the cruise staff. She was fantastic! Got a big kick out of finding out we were talking about her on the net.

Tia - Our weather was fantastic all week. I would bring a sweater with you for the evenings indoors. I was fine all week, but my MIL who was traveling with us was often cold in the dining room and movie theatre.

Mary, I'm sorry to hear Mark is sick and hope he feels better soon!

Thanks to both of you for all the GREAT information you shared during the cruise! :)

Hi Mary. Sorry to hear Mark is "under the weather." I make a mean chicken soup, but since the "active" ingredient is "love," it might be best if you give it to the dear man on behalf of all of us here at the Dis!

Again, thank you both for figuratively AND literally sharing your cruise with us...

Michelle & BD - thanks for the get well wishes. I'm sure Mark will be on later this morning to see for himself. He went to bed real early last night (in fact fell asleep on a NASCAR race so you know he was beat).

BD - chicken soup is his favorite so I'll be making that for him later today. Have to get to the store first!

We love Disney and the cruise and it was our pleasure to share it with everyone. We are firm believers that an online community like the DIS is for sharing. We've gotten lots of great information from these boards and it is just right and natural that it was our turn to give some back.

Glad you enjoyed Mark's live reports. I've done some trip reports of my own over on cruise trip board.

Thank you for the great updates and info! I hope Mark is feeling better soon!

I am feeling a great deal better today.
Had a 100.5 fever at one point last night, it was not pretty.

Thanks for the nice words and well wishes. I think Mary above said it best in that we are very happy to share :)

Glad to hear you are feeling better Mark, how's Mary feeling? She said she had some bumps on her arm from possible Sea Lice bites. Sounds itchy to me from what I have read about Sea Lice.

Andy
