Most vacations booked at a time

we have four!!

a week at the THV in may (baby's first trip), another week in sept at BCV, 4 nights in december at SSR and then a TEN day trip in january! i'll be running the marathon (my first). we are booked at BLT but not sure if we will stay there or not.

I think that BLT would be a great place to stay for the marathon! Your family can watch you go by, and it seemed to me there was a band playing and sort of a party happening there in 2010 when we stayed there during Marathon weekend.

Best wishes on your first marathon! DDiL and DS did their first 1/2 this year, they are trying to decide what to do in 2014!

We have done so many trips it has been wonderful and we are so grateful. We decided to purchase AP for our family of 5 and really make most of it and then we can take a rest and bank some points for another cruise.

Jan 2011- 3 days at BLT for marathon weekend
June 2011- 5 days at OKW (purchased AP this trip)
June 2011- 4 days at VB
Sept 2011- 3 days HHI
Thanksgiving 2011- 5 days AKV-CL
Jan 2012- 3 days BLT for marathon weekend
April 2012- 7 days at BWV (last trip with our AP)
Jan 2013 already booked AK-CL for marathon weekend

Time off to bank points after this for cruise.

right now we have 4 and when we get into the 7month window we'll add a fifth -

dw in may & jan - whole family for both
dcl twice over the summer - cruise to nowhere w/my daughter & cruise to nova scotia w/family & brother's family

everyone think's we're crazy - lol

The most I have ever had in the past was 2 trips in a calendar year or 3 trips in any 12 month period.

However we just joined DVC and closed in January and it is changing how we travel Our 2012 year now looks like this...

January- 4 night couple only trip with DH to celebrate anniversary (left kids with grandma for first time!) (Cash- hadn't closed yet)

March- weekend just for me with a couple girlfriends for a girls only weekend in Hilton Head 2 bedroom (points)

June/July- our family of four...2 nights AKL studio (points) followed by cruise on the Fantasy (cash) followed by 4 nights SSR studio (points)

September- our family of four... 2 nights BLT studio for Labor Day weekend. Serious impulse buy when seeing low airfare one day! Wasn't planned! Figured I had points and APs, what could I lose? I would have never done this before DVC.

November- our family of four and my 2 parents.... 10 night Thanksgiving BWV 2 bedroom (points). This and the June trip were our big plans for the year. The rest of the trips took on a life of their own after the fact!

I look at my upcoming trips on dvc site and I think what in the world??? Then I just have to laugh. I know this isn't a lot for some people but it is by far the most traveling we have ever done in a year. Every single one of DH vacation days from work is accounted for at this point!

Trips are more difficult with DD in college but I still manage to use our points at three resorts. Trips for 2012:

March: Vero and OKW
April: Vero
June: Hilton Head
December: OKW, Fantasy and Vero

Could use our points in Door Co, Wi, in July but I don't care for the resorts offered.

Well...I think we've had 3 trips to The World, 2 DCL cruises and 1 Adventures by Disney on the books at the same time.
