What was your scariest moment of your trip? Was it the traffic or the tower of terror? :scared:

Unknowingly getting into the swinging/sliding gondolas on the Sun Wheel. :scared1:

Yes...the TOT, I actually chickened out. Got on it, buckled my seatbelt and got off just in time. This little lady can't take that. :scared1:

The take-off for CA Screamin'.

Realizing I had to leave to go home.

TOT doesn't bug me. I'm more afraid of real elevators (especially the ones in my apartment building) than the fake elevator! TOT is just exhilarating to me. (as is CA Screamin' now, in my memory)

I am a thrill ride junkie and also a Disney FANATIC!!! However, I totally agree with you. To my (and my DH's) surprise... I thought I was not going to make it through this ride. Now, every time I see that awful sun I get sick. Blah.... I can't even consider getting on the gondolas that don't swing! LOL

Also, the very first time I ever went to DL (I was 6) and we got on the submarine ride. I asked my aunt if "they" (the fishies) were real and she told me yes. I went into panic mode and freaked out in the middle of the ride. Yes, that's right, I said on the submarine.... I could not be consoled and my aunt had to take me back to the room. We still laugh about it every time we are at DL.
And, years later, I was SO sad when they closed the subs. Glad that Nemo is now in action.

My scariest moment was when the Nemo sub got delayed getting back to the dock and I started to have a small moment of claustrophobia. I talked myself down, though, and no one around me was the wiser. :scared:

Most disturbing moment was when I was in line with my younger son for one of the swinging gondolas on the sunwheel and I realized the CM was sticking motion sickness bags into a little pocket inside the gondola. I was so glad he and I were paired with a nice older gentleman, and his son-in-law, who had previously ridden the sliding gondola. Chatting with them really helped me keep my mind off the swinging.

The subs scared me too when I was little. I was sure we were going to get stuck and drown. Then on one of our trips it broke down and I freaked out. I laugh about it know :rotfl2:. I guess I never realized that the sub never actually submerged under water.

The Abominable Snowman also terrified me when I was little. I remember trying to turn around so I could hide by my mom. Then I got a little older (8) and it still scared me, but I learned to just close my eyes.

So funny to think that others are/were scared of the subs, too for whatever reason. I thought I was just the most ridiculous 6yo on the planet...

This is hilarious but....

We had Blue Bayou reservations and we specifically wanted lunch to get the Monte Cristos. So our waiter comes over and is like "Oh, I'm sorry. We're out of Monte Cristos today." And we're all like :scared1: But it turns out he was joking. He was a great waiter. Lots of laughs from that meal. :rotfl:

But that was my scariest moment.

my scariest moment was on big thunder mountain, i had my lanyard with pins and along with my 3 day park hopper ticket attached to the lanyard, well happens that it the holder part came loose and i thought i lost my ticket, luckily it didn't fly away just flew up between me and my fiances arms. Man that was scary especially since there was still 2 days left on that ticket.

...and then the bill came for your real scariest moment :scared1:

Tower of Terror and the Swinging Gondolas are definately scary... :scared1: LOL... When I was a kid tho Star Tours and Space Mountain were not in my vocab... The first time I went on Star Tours I got so scared I started screaming R2-D2 save me! :scared1: ( I was like 5) and then the first time I went on Space Mountain I was just tall enough and somehow I bumped my chin and it really hurt and I didn't go on it again until I was like 11... LOL...

Our scarriest moments still gives me chills. I was nursing my then 3 week old son on the benches accross from Aladin musical with my husband who was supposedly watching our very overactive barely 2 year old son. The rest of our family went to ride TOT. Anyway I look up and ask my husband where our son is and he had no idea. We couldn't find him anywhere! I was frantic. After searching for 10 minutes he found him by the TOT. He said he wanted to ride it too.
Not suprisingly he is our now little 5 year old ADHD child who loves TOT and California Screamin too.

I have to say TOT. We where there last weekend and I have been saying I wanted to ride it so we walk over and find the wait is 75 mins! I was not disappointed. It looked scary. I thought I was off the hook but my daughter found 3 FP in A Bugs Land. She tried to give them to a CM but they said keep them! My husband said don't worry the ride is like a story. I was scared the whole time in line. When we get in I find that you only have a seatbelt. There was nothing to hold on to! I grab my hubands arm and hide my face in his arm. I hated it! I wanted to cry when I got off! I love SM and ride CS but can not handle TOT!:scared1:

Mine was Space Mountain the first time I rode it with my mom. This was back in the late 70's. I must have been like 7 or 8 years old. Anyways, I was so scared during the ride that I pissed my pants. These days, It is one of my favorite rides.

To this day, My mom and I get a laugh out of it when her or I mention it.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who did not like TOT. . . I tried to chicken out at the last minute, but the dude would not let me off. . I thought i was going to DIE!!!!! and I actually like the stupid drop thing at Magic Mountain, well the old school one, why can't I think of the name???

okay my nephew rode star tours when he was about 5. . . I laughed so hard when I dropped him off and went home and told my mom the story of how as soon as we got off the ride I asked how he liked it, he said "it was too fast!!!!" and this was right after it opened. .. he does not believe me now that he is in his mid 20s that he used to be terrified of it!

my worst moment though was getting stuck on roger rabbit . . cuz my son was in a room seperate from us, and I could not see him! thankfuly the cell phones worked! he could hear us cuz my daughter and youngest son were starting to panic, so we started playing the I Spy game. . .

My husband had never been to Disneyland before we went there on our honeymoon back in 1988. Space Mountain was my favorite ride (still is), so I took him on it as our first ride. I am whooping it up during the ride and then I realize he is really, really quiet. We get off the ride and he is totally pale...he then tells me he hates roller-coasters. :scared1:

Thankfully, after a day of riding all the "thrill" rides Disneyland had to offer back then, he was able to get back on Space Mountain at the end of the night and liked it, and it has become his favorite ride, as well.
