Me and DBF are thinking about a Feb trip, it would be his 1st WDW trip. We both like to try new kinds of things. We would be there for  Valentine's, our anniversary, and my birthday. Money is no object what - so - ever. What restaurants would you guys recommend?

Artist Point is very romantic IMHO

Oh good, I get to live vicariously through you! (DH won't come to WDW and money is kind of 'an object.')

IMO...

VA and AP are both very nice, no question. However, I particularly like Le Bistro de Paris. The view is great, the servers are wonderful, they have a great wine list and, of course, the food is wonderful. Of course, I've gone with my sister, so I wasn't really thinking 'romantic', but it seems like it would fit the bill.

Hey, wait a minute, if money is no object, why not do VA, Yachtsman, AP AND le Bistro!

My vote goes to V&A...we've been there 3 times and love it more each time we go. Bistro de Paris is another great choice as is Artist Point. We been to all of them and I'm sure none of them will disappoint you. ::MinnieMo

Citricos was awesome. We had an early dinner there. The place was practically empty and we got the primo table by the window which has the partial view of MK. The food was fantastic as well. I'd say cali grill as second, though at later hours it gets kinda packed and kinda loses the romaticism...but honestly, nothing beats watching the fireworks from the 15th floor with your loved one  On our last trip we had an early dinner at Cali grill then watched the fireworks from our 14th floor balcony :goodvibes with a bottle of champagne. It was one of the most if not the most romantic evening i've had with DF. :lovestruc

We are trying Citrico's this time, after reading lots of reviews in search of a mostly adult, quieter, romantic spot.

Did Yachtsman last trip and it was great!

I hope you enjoy Citricos. I heard only raves about them and that's exactly how I felt when I left. Ask DF, till this day I'm still comparing all my meals to that WONDERFUL salmon I had at Citricos. Not only that but the service was above par. If you don't mind eating early (which we have never done but decided it was time for a change) make the earliest PS and ask for a window table. Being able to look out onto the GF added so much to the experience. :goodvibes

Also, I was somewhat hesitant to making such an early ps for fear of the restaurant being empty, but I was definitely not let down. Citricos was somewhat empty, but as our dinner progressed several couples and families were seated so it made things a bit more "comfortable". I told DF that from now on we only make early PS's. I've become tired of the hustle and bustle of say Cali Grill during the peak dining times. If a romantic dinner is what you're looking for, make an early PS. :earsboy:

Not sure what you mean by "romantic"--most WDW restaurants (except V&A) are usually full of kids, which adds to the noise level and dosen't set the mood for a quiet, candlelite dinner.
That said, the most adult friendly spots we've encountered over the years are Victoria and Alberts (our #1 choice), Citrico's, Palio, and Bistro D' Paris. Would have added Blue Zoo to the list also--not many kids, but full of loud "coventioneers" at tables of 8 and 10. All screaming for "more bread" and "more water" ,etc etc. Spoiled an otherwise nice spot---.

No better way to celebrate Valentines, a birthday AND an anniversary than at V&A!!

We find the chefs table at V&A's to be romantic. The dining room to us, while the food is wonderful, the dining room is very loud. Sounds like people are whispering in your ear all night long.

For romance hubby and I love Le Bistro, Artist Point, Flying Fish and Jiko. Those restaurants also happen to have the best food and service on disney property. Enjoy!

The dining room at V&A is the most romantic setting at WDW for me. Much more so than the Chef's table which was certainly fun and intimate.

I find Narcoossee's romantic because of the setting. The view from the wine room at California Grill makes it romantic for me especially if we start dinner in daylight and watch night fall across WDW. Le Bistro is romantic too.

But I think it is so personal. We really enjoy Artist Point but it is not romantic at all to me perhaps because of the soaring ceiling. Just not cozy enough to be romantic for me.

My DW and I have found AP to be very romantic, in part due to the wonderful ambience that is the Wilderness Lodge with which to begin. As for the comments about kids, I've yet to find anyplace that is completely devoid of them--after all, Disney is mainly about being and for kids. That being said, if you want fewer children at your meal, try a later ADR. Good eats! :earsboy:

My BF and I have PS or ADR or whatever you would like to call them at CG during WISHES. That seems pretty romantic to me. However I have been to V&A and agree that would work as well, and you could do the wine pairings.

IMHO either Narcoossees or California Grill would be the best choices for a romantic meal.

While Yachtsman's, AP, V+A, Jiko's and others may have food as good (or better depending on your likes) IMHO the chance to watch the MK fireworks at the end of a special meal (either from your table or holding hands on one of the viewing platforms) tips the balance towards the two I mentioned. IMHO V+A is a spectacular place to eat, but I would feel the venue would take concentration away from each other and towards the restaurant itself. The atmosphere, food, service and (firework)shows should all add to the evening, but not dominate them. Romance is about people first and events/situations very much second.

As a P.S. we pre-ordered a speciality chocolate Cinderella slipper dessert at Narcoossees to share and that definately added to the evening. WDW have a speciality cake # that you can call to pre order Bday or special occassion cakes and deserts for most of their restaurants.

If money is no object, it doesn't get any better than this. We did the dining room May 2004 and it was wonderful and extremely romantic. We are doing the chef's table for our honeymoon in October. If you are thinking of a Feb trip you are approaching your 180 days for a ressie @ the chef's table. its 90 days out for dining room ressie. I think if you are seriously considering V&A go for the chef's table :goodvibes

Wishing you a wonderfully magical trip together

I am in the process of planning a romantic dinner for our 10-year wedding anniversary in November. I had heard you can do a "private" dining at the Grand Floridian that they set up either on a balcony or the beach. It's hard to get info on it but I read that someone else did it so I'm trying to plan it to suprise my husband. Hopefully I can plan it for a night where we can view Wishes afterwards. Have fun!

We have a few romantic spots that we love having dinner at. California Grill, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Narcoossee's and especially Shula's. Shula's isn't very romantic looking but the food is fantactic and there are rarely kids there.

We are trying Citrico's this upcoming trip.

We have not tried Victoria and Albert's yet. That being said, our favorite romantic dinners were at Bistro de Paris and Blue Zoo.
