My husband and I are traveling to WDW in Dec 08. This will be my 4th trip and his 1st. We are also paying for my Grandmother and 2 young cousins to go with us. My DH and I are planning on arriving 2 days before the rest of the group. I would like to have a very romantic day and night with my husband. I want to do something special for the 2 of us. What is the most romantic restaurant? It doesn't matter where the location is. I can tell you that for the group I have ressies for Chefs De France, Coral Reef, Brown Derby, and a TON of character meals. Any suggestions that anyone has will be greatly appreciated!!!!! Thanks so much!

If you want "uber" romantic (and expensive), you can do Victoria & Albert's.

If you want something more affordable but still elegant, DH & I have enjoyed our meals and atmosphere at Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We've spent quite a few anniversaries there!

I've also got to give a tip of the hat to Bistro de Paris in Epcot. But personally I just can't get that "romantic" feel in a theme park. DH & I can make an evening out of Jiko at AKL and feel all warm and fuzzy :lovestruc

Have fun planning & eating :)

I completely agree with this post!! These would be my exact recommendations. :goodvibes

I would say either Jiko's or Cali grill. We had fab meals in both - but the view of the fireworks from Cali grill was amazing! Have fun :lovestruc

Agree with all the suggestions, will add Narcoosees to the list: fireworks view different than CG, but good; nice quiet, relaxed setting. FWIW.

There is nothing more romantic than V&A. Second for me would be Bistro de Paris.

I agree. Atmosphere is great at Narcoseese's. Food is excellent. I found it to be very quaint.

Just thinking 'outside the box' here, but you might want to consider 'bluezoo' at The Dolphin.

It's a wonderful place if you love seafood, and the atmosphere is very unique and very 'adult' and could make for a very romantic evening. (It has for us :) )

If you mean by romantic "quiet and relatively kid-free", then Blue Zoo, Citricos, Il MUlino, Pucks Fine Dining or the Bistro would be my choices. And V&A of course, if $$$ isn't an object.
California Grill is a fine spot, but over-run with kids. If you dine there, ask for the wine room where there is a chance of a bit more serene meal. Narcoosee's can be one way or the other. At our meal there 2 weeks ago, it was relatively quiet. Other times it seemed to have kids at every other table.

Our suggestions based on our recent experience.....

If you can afford V&A or Bistro de Paris then that's the way to go.

Other options:

Narcoossees - schedule dinner so you will see wishes and request a window seat.

Jiko - A very nice place, for an added experience, request to sit at the cooking place.

California Grill - while the view overall and of wishes was great, and so was the food, we found this place to be very loud. If you do choose this location, again request a window seat.

Citricos - I didn't like this place for the romantic side, it felt more casual to me, but the food and service were great!

For the really romantic in mind and expensive.... you can charter a boat and have dinner ordered to be served on board.

Yep - me too - In order I would say - V&A (if its in your price range and you want to get dressed up), Jiko (Our ultimate Fav) and then Bistro

I see a lot of recommendations for Cali Grill but I just don't feel romantic there. Its a great restaurant and lots of fun, but there are just far too many children and families at Cali Grill and its too lit up to feel romantic to me

I think the most romantic place we've had dinner on property is the Cali Grill - we were there for my birthday this year. Make sure you schedule around Wishes! It's a fantastic view! :)

I would say V&A, ate there once with wife and it was very romantic. Another choice i would say is Artist Pointe, we loved California grill but i would not say it was romantic because of the noise level and being so crowded.

I agree with everyone who says Jiko. I think the AKL is a romantic place, esc, out back along the path around the savannahs at night.

Agree with Artist Point at the WL. We had a really great, unhurried meal, seated next to the window enjoying the views of the courtyard and lake. The food, wine and service were excellent!!! ;)

California Grill or Narcoosees would probably be good romantic restaurants.
