Can someone recommend the most romantic resort to stay in at WDW? We booked beach club because we thought it would offer a nice lit view at night of Epcot and the Boardwalk but now I'm thinking would the Grand Floridian been better?

This is our honeymoon.

Thank you!

I love the Polynesian if you don't mind paying for a delux hotel. Husband and I were there 2 years ago and it is very quiet at nite. We would sit by the beach behind the pool and have a few beers. Once the mk fireworks start you can see them.

I also like the cbr I was there in Jan. I don't thkn you can see any other hotels from there but you can sit outside by the beaches and the quiet pools are never busy.

I would pick Polynesian resort. Imagine you walk along the beach , you also get to see the beautiful GF resort across the lake.

Yes, I agree, The Polynesian!
The torch lit pathways are so romantic for an evening stroll,
the beach, the Hawaiian music,
it is wonderful!!
:thumbsup2

Hands down the poly! It feels like you on a tropical island with the bamboo swaying in the breeze, and the torches lit along the paths.
During the day the tropical flowers so beautiful blooming along the paths, and everyone you meet says "aloha".
If you are lucky enough to get a view of the castle from your room, it is lit up all evening. We took my ds for the first time when he was 3 years old and he loved watching the castle through the sliding doors.
It is expensive, and we try to stay there every few years as a "treat".
We stayed there in 2003 for our tenth anniversary, and the cm told me I would enjoy the pool view better than the castle and I do not know what I was thinking, as I let her move my room. The pool was nice but does not compare to the castle. Duh! I also had to listen to updates from my son about the status of the pool, its open, kids are on the slide, etc.
ANyway, my vote is the poly!!!!!!!!

I would definately say the GF. It is my fav, and I am going there on my honeymoon in January. I love the themes, they are so romantic, we loved just walking around the lobby and the gardens outside, or sitting on our balcony so you can see the fireworks from your room over MK. I guess it just all comes down to your taste as well. I love the romantic victorian theme! it is pricey but its your honeymoon! :lovestruc

it depends on what you like, really. the Boardwalk really is beautiful when it's all lit up at night.

the Polynesian is a great tropical resort, and if you love that tropical island feel you'll love that.

and the Grand Floridian is a nice upscale victorian resort. it has really great views of the castle from certain rooms.

I've been to BW and GF and loved both. Staying at Poly for first time in Sept. so I can't compare yet.

My wife and honeymooned in the Wilderness Lodge and loved it. We have been back two time since then and are planning out third in 11/06.

If was able to plan a week alone wit her, with out the DDs, I would choose the Polynesian.

I think the Poly is definately the most romantic! It's my favorite resort at Disney......maybe for mine and DH's 10th wedding anniversary we will be able to afford to stay at the Poly!

I've stayed at most of the better properties (WL,AKL,GF,BC, and Poly coming in Aug). We're staying at the Poly to try something new, or we'd be at the AKL again in a heartbeat!

The lobby is very relaxing after a long day in the parks, the hotel has tons of public spaces with quiet nooks, and two great restaurants. Being off of the beaten path may not be the worst thing ever on your honeymoon...

Beach Club last trip and just spent four nights each at the BW and GF. It is a matter of taste, but DW and I agree - Boardwalk, hands down.

Too many kids running around and screaming in the pool at the GF to be romantic. Too stuffy.

Boardwalk, quieter, nice moonlite stolls after dinner, more adult themed restaurants and entertainment.
