Most romantic place to eat outside the park

We enjoy strolling around Crescent Lake in front of BW, Y&BC, &Swolphin. I think its really romantic. We've strolled, surrey biked, played putt putt, and also taken a boat on the lake. The lights are twinkling, and the whole area is very romantic.

I think it would be very nice to eat at one of the restaurants in the area, and then take a nice stroll. We have enjoyed Yachtsman Steakhouse (somewhat romantic) and Cape May Cafe (great, but not romantic). I think Spoodles or Flying Fish may be kind of romantic. IF you have the park tickets, you could always eat in France or UK in Epcot and THEN stroll in the Epcot resort area.

On another note...Artist Point at WL is kind of romantic.

I've not been to CG or V&A, but would think that they are somewhat romantic.

If you like live music and a pleasant Caribbean atmosphere, try the Bahama Breeze restaurant on Int'l Drive. Nice bar and good food at a reasonable price.

If you don't mind a little further drive, visit Loews Portofino Bay Resort Hotel next to Universal's parks. There are several restaurants, some more couple-oriented than others but strolling along the water's edge, with live Italian music wafting past from the restaurants... the European setting, the beautiful waterside lighting, it's all very romantic. You can take a free ride on the boat back to CityWalk or stroll the long, lit walkpaths to the other resorts. CityWalk has Parking at the Universal garage is free after 6:00 pm.

If you want to make a day of it, drive out to the Gulf Coast, to the Clearwater area, ~1.5 hrs. After shopping, boating or enjoying the beach, have a seafood dinner at a restaurant overlooking the ocean, with a sunset view. For us, that's romantic!!!

If you like the boat on the water idea but you want to stay nearby, choose a restaurant in Downtown Disney and end the evening with a water taxi ride on the lake there (free) or ride the water shuttle up to one of the Disney resorts for a walking visit. This is not offsite but it is nice. I also think the waterfront restaurant at the Grand Floridian is so pretty but we haven't eaten there so I can't comment. The area around Crescent Lake behind Epcot is beautiful at night too, a bit more romantic in the Yacht Club area (to me) than near the evening bustle on the BoardWalk. So a nice restaurant at Swan/Dolphin or one of the Disneys in that area is a good choice too. It's been quite a while since we've eaten at the nicer sitdown restaurants there so you may want to look in the Restaurants forum if you want specific recommendations on Disney restaurants. HTH with ideas. :)

Bahama Breeze at the Crossroads plaza always has nicely dressed couples coming and going. Valet parking too! It looks like a fun place! We are planning on bringing my parents this year so we can get out as a couple!

Bahama Breeze romantic? It must be MUCH different than the one near me..... Mine is SO LOUD at times, that my ears hurt after I leave. Most of the crowd is Happy Hour folks..... It is a nice place, and I enjoy the food, but the one near me is about as romantic as going to McDonald's.

But here is a "bump", because I would like to find a romantic place for one night that has no relationship with WDW.

I am with the above poster...

Bahama Breeze, romantic???? :confused3
I haven't been to that particular location, but I guess what one deems 'romantic' is in the eye of the beholder.

Bahama Breeze seems to one of those 'Fun' restaurant bars with a carribean flair... not a romantic couples oriented place.

While they can be expensive, I would imagine that the upscale restaurants at the Universal resorts (as mentioned by another poster above) could be an option.

NOTE: Parking after 6:00 p.m. at Universal/CityWalk is now $3.00.

Antonio's on Sand Lake Road

Ruth's Chris on Sand Lake Road

Season's 52 and Melting Pot are both nice too. They are also on Sand Lake road. Basically, any restaurant in "restaurant row" will make for a nice evening.

Bahama Breeze is a good place to eat, and many things come to mind when I think of that place...but romantic is not one of them.

We Love Capitol Grill on International Drive, be sure to request a booth.
