Thanks for the spelling!!! We did take the Romantic Road, but we kept getting lost, so we re-named it the Frustrating Road and found our way to the autobahn.
It's funny how people's views of "romantic" differ...we found our two favorites to be MUCH more romantic than Paris. And, nowhere near a hot island climate could ever be romantic to us.
We have never made it to Bath, although I can imagine they are amazing. I would LOVE to see them, and visit anywhere in the Cottswalds. I would think the thatched roof cottages were very romantic as well. Oh well, maybe another trip!!!
I am really sorry that you kept getting lost! I never tried to follow the Romantic Road as such, it is just that I live in this area and come across it quite regularly. I think the idea is to provide a scenic drive between the places to see. However, they should really provide proper signs so tourists do not get lost!!
Oh and if you ever go to Bath and the Cotswolds make sure to go a bit further and continue on to Corwall which is breathtakingly beautiful!!

just because they are so nice! Make sure not to miss the Cafe Demel, one of the really famous ones for its traditional charme. However there is lots to see around Vienna as well, you could even combine it with a boat trip on the Danube.
