Most Quiet Rooms at Kidani

I am heading to Kidani for a week in August; being close to the lobby or bus stop is not important to me as my group all have healthy adult legs and we have a car. What does matter to me are quiet hallways. I am assuming that the ends of the necklace would be my best options, does antbody know how to make this room request? Is one end of the resort quieter than the other?
TIA
Stacey

We've been to Kidani multiple times. I'm not sure if you have a SV, but if you do it will be quiet. The only time we had a "loud" room was when we had a standard view overlooking the main road where the buses were loud. It is a very quiet resort. I personally would still request close to lobby. Those hallways are long, and a pain when you forget things and have to run back to the room. Have a great time. It's a beautiful resort.

I've only stayed at Kidani once and kind of wished I had requested as far from the lobby as possible because of the running of the bulls - er, I mean kids that occurred in the mornings. They understandably were excited to be heading off to the parks and would be expressing that joy while running down the halls. And the doors have a pretty good gap between the bottom and the floor. I'd just keep the request simple - far from the lobby.

I find all the hallways quite noisy in Kidani as people walk and run past at all hours to get to rooms or the elevators and also to Sanaa talking loudly.

Not sure what your view is but I would request a quiet room near the end of the buildings if that is what you want. Also I would think requesting a higher floor (while not as good for viewing) would give you a quieter room as I find I am able to hear moving in the room above me if they have a large number of people or lots of children.

Thanks for the advice, I will request "far from lobby" as those rooms seem to be where all of the action is, plus those rooms would be better utilized by those with small children or mobility issues.

I am on 5th floor, a few rooms from the end. Leaving tomorrow (to BLT). It is quiet, and the animal viewing is great. There is a giraffe feeding box right in front of this room. We drive to the parks, so that helps, Zazu elevator. BUT, omg the walk to the one and only pool is ridiculous. And to refill drinks, almost as bad. (we are on the end towards Jambo). I was looking at the map, we could walk to the Jambo pool, same distance. (but in the hot sun, that would be insane).

Like the 2 full baths in the 1 BR here. Saw great animals in the 2 days here, so many giraffes, zebras, etc.

Just back from 3 nights on the fifth floor of Kidani--one-BR, Savannah View (room 7926)..two villas down from the Rafiki elevators...it was a wonderful villa (agree that two bathrooms is real luxury for two people--me & my son)...we didn't mind the walk at all, even including walking back & forth between Kidani & Jambo...but for those who do want to maximize "non-walking" opportunities, it IS an issue...

And while I have nothing but praise for Kidani (our first time there; previous trips to AKV were to Jambo)--we absolutely LOVED it!--I've never ever heard as much hallway noise as I did this past three nights...heard not a peep once inside our room, but walking the hallways I heard every whimper & cry from behind closed doors...I "noticed" it, but it didn't bother me--at Disney you will have kids and when you have kids you have ambient kid noise!

So, based on the past three nights, I'd say you won't hear a thing if you're inside your villa (absent a truly unusual and very loud "event" happening right outside your door), but you will hear "kid noise" walking the hallway to your or from your villa...

Hope your stay is as magical and wonderful as ours was!

We stayed in a 2br villa standard view at Kidani in Aug. 2012. We loved it! We were in one of the villas that looked directly out at the bus stop. My DH is a very light sleeper, and we didn't have one bit of trouble with noise. Granted, we kept the doors closed at night.

We actually enjoyed our view. We spent several nice evenings out on our balcony with a glass of wine and Chip n Dale snack mix, watching the busses come and go. It was kind of nice to watch the families walking by down below with little ones asleep in strollers or little kids with their Mouse Ears on, etc. We are staying there again this August. :)

We stayed in a Studio last year on an upper floor on the end of the hallway closest to Jamba House. It was quiet as a mouse! No matter where you are, you'll walk a lot! It was actually closer for us to walk to the Jamba House bus stop...
