Most parks to capacity on Wednesday

I saw that clip earlier!

Madness!

Give me early October any day!

I spoke to a friend today and he said since Christmas it's been crazy. They closed most of the parks by around 11am yesterday, he was at Hollywood studios and by 10am there was 2 hours queue for everything and no fast passes.

We went be visiting the parking for around a week I think.

Saw the announcement that this was the 2nd day in succession for IOA that the gates closed by mid-day. WWoHP still seems to be drawing the crowds :thumbsup2

We're out here at the moment and it is crazy busy but manageable if you get in at rope drop and come out in the early afternoon. On Wednesday we were in EPCOT for 8am and did Soarin twice (once with FP), TestTrack twice (once with FP), mission space green, Imagination and did 2 Kim Possible missions (UK and France) all by 1pm. We ate lunch around WS - longest wait of the day was at Tangerine Cafe (10 minutes). We exited the park by about 2.30pm and by that time waits were into the 2-3 hour mark.
The thing we've found hard is the early openings - today EP and HS are opening at 8 and AK and MK were open at 7 (due to EMH). As we're at AKV Kidani Village at the moment, we'd planned todo AK but even being so close, we still didn't make it up in time. In the end we've decided to have a lazy morning and drive to the coast and then head into a park this evening. We also had problems last week with parks opening earlier than advertised - on 22nd I think it was we went into HS and were there at 8.45 for 9am opening. When we got there the park was already open as due to a last minute change they'd opened at 8.30am. It was a shame as TSM was already over an hour wait and FP were already in the mid afternoon. We did complain about that as thought that as a resort guest we could have been made aware through voicemail/ sign at resort (we were at BLT and caught bus from Contemp.to park). Guest relations gave us some FP (although they can't be used on TSM).
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas :)

Great news item the traffic jam at the entrance to Universal is something else. Just glad I'm not sat in it :scared1:

I think it sounds slightly busier than normal but certainly not totally unexpected, they do close parks between Xmas & New Year.

we came home Wednesday after 3sunny weeks there.

We have been going for Christmas for the last 12years (bar last year for obvious reasons!) and I can honestly say this is the quietiest we have ever seen the parks??

We took a chance&went to Epcot on Christmas Eve and it was sooo quiet. In previous years we have sometimes never made it any further than the entrance!
