We’ve never left the US, but have done a lot of fun vacations. Whether they were sports themed (going to a couple different close by cities to see games), amusement parks, beach (if you’re looking to just relax this is great family time!!), museums and we’ve always had fun. I’d have to say our favorite is visiting Colorado.
One year we did a whole lot of driving but it was so much fun. Went to the western side of the state to see a couple things (CO National Monument/Grand Mesa/Dinosaur museum). Drove to the Denver area via a couple passes to do Rocky Mountain National Park. Drove up to South Dakota for Mount Rushmore and a couple things in that area. Back to Denver for a baseball game before heading home.
That trip had it all. Sightseeing, museums, history, sports, and outdoors activities. It was ALOT of driving and we were busy everyday, but it was one of my most memorable trips of my life.
