Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

now why did you go with that title when you had a perfectly good beaver butt smell title you could have chosen.
i guess you didnt want to attract to many more readers since you already have more than you can handle.

You have breathed a little life into my Free Dining Pin thread! I have had 2 others (besides yourself) who have commented!!
okay how do people get these pin codes? i have never recieved anything like this, do you have to get your nam ein a database or something?

No, I showed up to get the correct answer of 13 cuts on Dan's head too..... :thumbsup2
at least you didnt try and add two totals together from two peoples guesses....like our english friend.

Thanks. I really like them too. I really wonder where I could get them printed...who has photographic paper like that?
well you could get yourself, a nice little 42 inch wide hp plotter for about 5,000 (if you are friends with a dealer) and then get yourself a nice 150 foot role of hp photo glossy paper. put in your 6 different color ink cartridges, cyan, magenta, yellow, MK, PK and gray. they run about 70 bucks each.

go ahead and copy glenns link onto your computer, send it to the printer as high quality, and wait for the 42 by 12 foot pic to come out on slow print to increase quality and sharpness of the finished product.

total cost about 5,800 plus 2 hours print time.

or you could just pay someone else do it for you.
:thumbsup2

I have just spent a rather impressive amount of time catching up on both your 2010 and 2009 trip reports!

We are going this summer from June 24- July 9th. We usually go in the off season, so I am quite aprehensive about crowds. Not that I haven't been there during crowds - just not with my kiddos.

The crowds didn't look too bad while you were there - except for your attempt at the fireworks in Magic Kingdom on July 3rd.

Do you use any of the touring plan sites to help you plan your days? Is there one that you would suggest based on your success?

:yay: I'm glad someone recognized that reference! That says a lot about you Cap'n. :sad2:

That I'm stuck in permanent pre-adolescence? Yeah, that's about right.

Actually, I thought it might be a reference, so I went to the library and "researched" it.

To the French? Are you kidding?! That's their job.

Nice job spiking that setup! :cool1:

:There, I just set off your Sarcasm Detector for you too. I must sound like a full-out air raid where you are.

What's that? I can't hear you with all this noise!

OH, what a beautiful mooooooooooooooorning, Oh! what a beautiful day...

I KNOW!!! I mean, who could have resisted using "beaver butt" in a chapter title!!??

well, apparently Glenn...

:rotfl:

okay how do people get these pin codes? i have never recieved anything like this, do you have to get your nam ein a database or something?

if Im going to be honest, and I do try not to lie all that often, I've gotten like 4 in my "Disney life" (which is since 2009) - 2 via a postcard in the snall mail and 2 via email.....

and that sounds like pretty good odds compared to some folks who never ever get them..

however, even with those good odds - Ive never been able to use one!! :scared1:

or you could just pay someone else do it for you.
:thumbsup2

that's was my first thought - like a Kinko's or a printing company that does banners....

then he can get a few copies made, and mail them out to all us "followers"..

Well, it was a tough choice: go with a rhyme that refers to underpants, or go with one about beaver butt. In the end, (no pun intended), I figured I couldn't lose either way.

okay how do people get these pin codes? i have never recieved anything like this, do you have to get your nam ein a database or something?

I'd like to know the answer to that also.

at least you didnt try and add two totals together from two peoples guesses....like our english friend.

I saw that. :teacher: :sad2:

Now why didn't I think of that? You're genius Dan!

I have just spent a rather impressive amount of time catching up on both your 2010 and 2009 trip reports!

:welcome: Kat!! Thanks for reading, especially the old stuff. :worship:

There's also a 2005 trip report buried in the PTR for this trip link. (And a non-Disney trip to Europe, to boot.) ;)

We are going this summer from June 24- July 9th. We usually go in the off season, so I am quite aprehensive about crowds. Not that I haven't been there during crowds - just not with my kiddos.

The crowds should be...manageable. If you have a plan, and make your ADRs early. Get ready for the HEAT though!

I've used TourGuideMike in the past, but I don't think I will anymore. Not that I was dissatisfied, but because I now understand their philosphy around how they recommend parks and I can pretty much duplicate it on my own. Next time, I think I'll try RideMax, which seems to be a software for planning a specific day at a park. It attempts to recommend the order of rides, in order to minimize time in lines.

That I'm stuck in permanent pre-adolescence? Yeah, that's about right.

I can think of worse places to be stuck.

Actually, I thought it might be a reference, so I went to the library and "researched" it.

That's okay, spotting them is half the battle. Oh, I almost forgot: +1 :thumbsup2

Nice job spiking that setup! :cool1:

I saw it all the way.

What's that? I can't hear you with all this noise!

I've got a wonderful feeeeeeliiiiing, everything's going my way!

Hindsight is 20/20, when it comes to beaver butt.

if Im going to be honest,

Why start now?

Lovely panorama picture!

I can honestly say I've never seen that particular type of soap but now I will have to find if only to impress my family.

Love your photos crossing over into France. It's usually hit and miss when someone helps with the photo taking. I don't know if I would have been brave enough to ask for another shot. I don't like confortation.

France is so pretty. I'm surprised you and James stayed in the perfume shop at all.

Thought about you Saturday. I saw a MASH shirt at Target in the Mens department. I didn't pick it up and read it but it did have MASH on it.

Mmmm, seeing you enjoy that Grey Goose Slushie really makes me want a Grand Marnier slushie.

It's too bad that CM at France didn't get your joke.

Great updates Glennbo!

I love the pano-shots.

I was able to print mine out by going to the WalMart photo website and making poster prints. (They can't do it in store....at least not in our store.)

You can put 2-3 pano's on each poster.

Most of my pano's were not anywhere near that width though. The AK one would print out great.

The WS one would still be pretty thin.

HOWEVER,

you can do some old school pano.

Cut it into three or four seperate photos, print them out on posters, then manually tape them on the back to create one big shot. (Leave a little overlap on the edges when you cut the photo up into pieces so they will overlap a bit on the front.

Great update!
I loved where you were making small talk about the African wines & the reaction (or non-reaction) that you got! :rotfl:
Marlene looks adorable in the beret! :cutie: Looks like she is getting her $'s worth.

Do you have a Wolf Camera location near you? They would be able to develop the picture.

Love the GG picture!!!!

But have you registered on some Disney website or something?

I will let you I on a little secret I found out if you keep it quiet OK? :ssst:

Go onto the Disney website and "plan" and save a vaction. Order the planning video as well, either at the same time or on a different vist.

Usually those things sometimes yield a pin code. At least that's how I got mine.

Since A and B were 1st timers, I did order the video for them and I have gotten a pin code specifically tagged to them. I got them since I used my email but it had their address on it because I had it sent to them.

LOVE the panoramic shot of World Showcase. And a wall paper border of that....hmmm....that sounds good to me!

I also love the chapter title.

And I have to admit that I've always thought those coat of arms things were just a tad ludicrous. I fairly certain that if there was aristocratic blood in my background, I would know it and at least be able to ID our family colors! :lmao:

Your slushie looked like it was heavenly... I had one last year, but it was cold and I'm not sure I got the full effect.

Lovely panorama picture!

Thanks Vanessa!

I can honestly say I've never seen that particular type of soap but now I will have to find if only to impress my family.

I'd seen it on a couple of trip reports. Maybe even Liesa's list of potential World Showcase souvenirs.

Love your photos crossing over into France. It's usually hit and miss when someone helps with the photo taking. I don't know if I would have been brave enough to ask for another shot. I don't like confortation.

It wasn't really that way -- He asked if it was all right, and I just said it's a little off-center, do you mind taking one more?

I can't believe all the good pictures Liesa's gotten from strangers. Maybe my camera's a little more difficult/intimidating.

France is so pretty. I'm surprised you and James stayed in the perfume shop at all.

We stayed long enough to take those pictures, and that was about it!

Thought about you Saturday. I saw a MASH shirt at Target in the Mens department. I didn't pick it up and read it but it did have MASH on it.

Thanks for thinking of me! I think that's better than when Winkers thinks of me --whenever she sees a shrimp with the "vein" still in. :rotfl2:

Mmmm, seeing you enjoy that Grey Goose Slushie really makes me want a Grand Marnier slushie.

It's too bad that CM at France didn't get your joke.

Those are real wines from Africa, and they do sell them in Jambo House. I'm sure he was partial to his country's wines.

Great updates Glennbo!

I love the pano-shots.

Thanks, and thanks!

Well....I did take a chance and go with an outfit I found on the internet. I'll make a separate post after I finish these replies.

Great update!
I loved where you were making small talk about the African wines & the reaction (or non-reaction) that you got! :rotfl:

Thanks Amy! That was an interesting conversation. I guess I expected him to say something like, "Oh yes, we've seen that. They want to be like us." But it didn't turn out that way at all.

Marlene looks adorable in the beret! :cutie: Looks like she is getting her $'s worth.

She sure is! Or at least she was there. I haven't seen it since we returned, but I bet she'll pull it out again sometime.

Do you have a Wolf Camera location near you? They would be able to develop the picture.

We have Ritz, which I think is the same company. I didn't see anything about photo enlargement on their website. But...I did order from someone. Separate post coming up.

Love the GG picture!!!!

It was so refreshing!

I will let you I on a little secret I found out if you keep it quiet OK? :ssst:

Ahhhh! Your secret's safe with me. :ssst:

Thanks! I'll have to do that when we get closer to thinking/planning.

LOVE the panoramic shot of World Showcase. And a wall paper border of that....hmmm....that sounds good to me!

Thank you. A border of that would be cool!

Hey, after you buy your coat of arms info. they'll probably ask you if you want a star named after yourself. I think that's just as legit.

Hopefully no one reading this is in the star-naming business.

Your slushie looked like it was heavenly... I had one last year, but it was cold and I'm not sure I got the full effect.

Yeah, probably not. On a hot summer day -- wow!

After poking around on the internet a little bit....I put in an order with these folks in Richardson Texas:

colorenlargement.com

They can do some really odd sizes, which my World Showcase photo definitely is. I only ordered a print of the World Showcase photo to see how it turns out. It's a little pricey, so it feels like a gamble. Plus, I have no idea what I'm going to do with it once I get it. I just want to see it!

I ordered it 56 inches wide, by 11 inches tall. Even at that, I think I'll have some white area along the top or bottom (or both). But I'm hoping that it's big enough that some of the detail can be seen.

I'll let you know how it turns out!

Can't wait to see how it turns out! Any plans for where to put it?

Wow Glenn, that sounds amazing. I really liked your WS shot too, I hope it turns out well. Where are you going to hang that sucker?? If it looks nice, will you get the AKL one too then? You should.:thumbsup2 Of course, it's not my money so I'll leave the decision up to you.;)

, but it was cold and I'm not sure I got the full effect.

That's because they are intentionally WEAK!!!!! I am starting to like Nebo's idea more and more. Refillable mugs are good for a lot of things- even if they are begged, borrowed or stolen. :lmao:

No, I have no idea!

And there are a couple of AKL ones I like -- one from my balcony and one from the balcony outside of the library. I guess I'll wait and see what the WS one looks like.

You need to attach one of those wallet-chains to yours!

But you're right, I don't remember "feeling" that drink too much.
