I've been to WDW a couple of times this past month and I noticed a number of people (99% guys) wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with some form of "witty" remark about how "I'm just here to pay the bill" or "Most Expensive Day Ever" etc. I guess that's supposed to elicit some kind of "I hear ya, bro" response? Or people find it amusing in pics?

If this was ever amusing, it was only the first time anyone saw it, which was probably 15 years ago. These are the 21st century equivalent of "I'm with stupid" or "I'm hers because she deserves the very best" shirts. Some well-crafted snark is always appreciated, but we can do better!:mic:

I have seen the shirts a million times and I still find them amusing.

My sister-in-law isn’t a Disney regular. We leave for her (and my brother and nieces) second Disney trip ever in a few weeks. She loves loves loves her cricut machine and made Disney theme t-shirts for her family and my family (I won’t wear them and she says I’m not obligated to). Most shirts she made have very common sayings that I’ve seen many times since I go to Disney multiple times a year. It makes her and her family happy and they are excited to wear them since to them it’s new. I don’t say anything about her cricut addiction and she says nothing about my Disney addiction so we can get along. 😝

I think half of the fun of a Disney trip is the anticipation, and planning outfits, be it buying a Mickey Mouse tshirt or matching family shirts or Disney bounding is all part of it. So I am always happy to see others who share in my excitement.

Personally, while I rock many different character or theme shirts while in the parks, they never see the light of day when we aren’t at Disney.

I am much more inclined to side eye a few of the cropped and tiny tops I saw in Epcot over the poor dad wearing that shirt (who also tends to be pushing a double stroller with at least one fully dressed princess. Haha!)

I only did matching shirts for the first time last week. My sister has wanted to do them for years. I was determined not to do one of the frequently seen ones. It was a last minute production, but at least our shirts were unique.

Most of the shirts I saw last week were the same half dozen designs found on Etsy. I see no problem with them, just hope people realize that at least another dozen families will probably have the same shirts.

I have done a few shirts specifically for my sister that I know are frequently in the parks from Etsy, but she knows others at the park will probably have the same design.

Last week the Mickey/Minnie heads with initials and the #spoiled/#broke shirts were everywhere.

We’ve seen a bunch of these as well and we agree that they’re dumb.

We’re commenting on tee shirts when grown-ups are seen in Mickey Ears and other costume-ish items.

These people are excited to be there. And it likely is one of the most expensive days ever! I think it’s cute to see families/groups in matching shirts too, especially the thing ones at Universal.

As my grandmother would say “if this is the worst we have to worry about we should be so lucky” lol
