Most Embarressing Moments at Disney

"I'M NOT REALLY BIG ENOUGH! IT'S THE SHOES! IT'S THE SHOES! MOMMY GOT ME BIG SHOES!"

OMG! :lmao: :lmao:

dd- "Towah of Tewah is SO SCARY!!" kind lady- "you rode TOT??" (with a disbelieving look at me) dd - "Yes! and it is so scary it will scare your WHOLE ENTIRE PANTS OFF!"

:rotfl2: Great story! A couple of wonderful lines from your DD4 and several embarassing moments all from one ride. Love it! :lmao: :thumbsup2

My dd (4 at the time) said the same thing to me! Her brother (6yo) argued with her - the guy was really talking to him!

And on the embarassing side...
Before we went last year I measured my kids so I could prepare them for the height requirements of some rides. My dd was 39 1/2 inches tall, and in case you didn't know, the requirement for most of the rides is 40 inches. So...we went to Target and bought her a new pair of tennis shoes with TALL soles. :) She was very excited!

We went to MGM our first full day, and my kids (4 and 6) REALLY wanted to ride TOT. I had never been on it - hadn't heard about it - hadn't been to WDW since 1992 - and I honestly didn't realize how awful the ride was going to be, so we rode it. Well, nobody cried, but my dd held on to me for dear life as we walked out and said "I never want to ride that again!" - NO PROBLEM!!!

A short while later....we are entering the line for Star Tours. DD has no idea what this is but she does NOT want to ride ANYTHING! I told her to just walk with us, thinking we could always do the swap if she didn't change her mind by the time we got up to the ride. Well, they had to measure her before we could enter the queue, and after they ok'ed her and we started to walk toward the ride, she starts yelling back at the CM - "I'M NOT REALLY BIG ENOUGH! IT'S THE SHOES! IT'S THE SHOES! MOMMY GOT ME BIG SHOES!"
I didn't look back, just walked. fast.

LATER: In line for the backlot tour, she overheard two women talking about TOT, notices that they have a young child with them, and starts yelling at them "Hey! You can't take him on Towah of Tewah! (this is when I realize what's going on but I can't make it stop) Hey! It's too scary! Look at me! Hey! I'm bigger than him and it was too scary for me!" These nice women are looking at me like I have 2 heads at this point. Thank goodness the tram showed up then.

THEN on the bus one night she started talking to a kind woman and she is askind DD about the things she's been doing at Disney and... here we go again... dd- "Towah of Tewah is SO SCARY!!" kind lady- "you rode TOT??" (with a disbelieving look at me) dd - "Yes! and it is so scary it will scare your WHOLE ENTIRE PANTS OFF!" - the bus erupted in laughter - dd is very serious.
The kind lady gave her a Tinkerbell toy.
I wanted to crawl under a rock.
I thought about wearing a sign for the rest of the trip - "YES I DID ACTUALLY TAKE THIS PRECIOUS ANGEL ON THE TOWER OF TERROR GOD FORGIVE ME!"
but i didn't.

You had me at "whole entire pants"....:lmao:

if you guys only knew - she never stops talking. And it is never quiet talk. I would be embarassed most of the time if I let myself be. I was trying to remember some other things from our trip, but I seem to have blocked them from my memory...:rolleyes1

We did walk into The Haunted Mansion (don't know what we were thinking) and as soon as we stepped into the strech room, she says (loudly) "get me outta here!!!" so we swapped. And I rode first.
And then that creepy guy zeroed in on me (thanks a lot dd) and had me so creeped out I could barely get on the ride myself!

Gee, are our kids seperated at birth?? My dd4 is the same way. I'm waiting for the inevitable announcement in a quiet setting that she farted. :rotfl2:
Although I'll probably look more like this:

The only time we rented a car and drove down this happend.
It was the last day of our trip, I was complaining about being the only one
loading the van. I had a cooler in my hands and was trying to go down the
steps.........key word trying....... I tripped, and surfed on the cooler all the
way to the bottom. I am a big guy, it was a big cooler, we made a LOT
of noise. we came to rest, me still lying on the cooler, both knees bloody
from being dragged on the concrete, against the door of a room at the
foot of the steps.
This guy comes out and says dude its ok to love your cooler, but don't loooove your cooler.

Okay I just have to say - twice this week I woke up in a bad mood only to look for this particular story so I could laugh my butt off!!!!

Thank you, thank you, feelin' the love.:rotfl:

Well I have one about my DMIL--- ;)

1- We were at DHS, walking towards ToT... and she said "well, we're going to go shop while you guys do the TOWER OF DOOM!!!" (yeah, she yelled 'Tower of Doom!!!!', and people looked at her funny- including myself!) :sad2: We corrected her and said, "No, it's the Tower of TERROR...", but for the rest of the trip she kept calling it Tower of Doom. Geeeez...

2- So my DBIL and DSIL got engaged at WDW during our last trip. For the evening of the Engagement, I booked an Illuminations cruise for us. Well, 4 of the 6 of us were ready to get on the boat and take off, but we didn't see DBIL or DSIL (the other 2). I asked my DH where they were, and a CM heard me and said "OH, they're oogling each other behind the wall here..."

3- My DH made me go on EE for the first time. My DH's grandparents (YES, GRANDPARENTS) rode in front, followed by my DBIL and DSIL, a single rider girl and my DFIL, and then me and DH. Well, I screamed the whole time out of sheer scardycatness, and when we got off, my DFIL said "OH-MY-GOD. I didn't think you were going to breathe! Sheesh. I can't hear anymore!!" (whoops- good impression on the DFIL... :scared:

DD always wonders why people aren't screaming more. She says its no fun if your not screaming. People look at her funny when we get off the different roller coasters because she screamed the whole way and she is asking me why no one else is screaming and having fun. So feel comfortable in knowing, according to DD, you were the only one having fun on the ride.

I invited my immediate, family to Disney World, with us, last year. The entire trip was shameful :sad2: Now, I can never show my face at the BCR because my brother dared my sister to ask 10 men, if they thought she was sexy... super fool did this all the way to dinner at Cape May's; Blizzard Beach gives me memories I don't need or want; My aunt was wearing waaaayyy too much make-up, drunk out of her mind and my brother kept yelling to her, to "work that walk". My mother was so angry, she told her, she looked like a retarded prostitute, that didn't realize it was time to get out of the game- btw, we were on the tram to MK, during this uncomfortable conversation and my first thought, ever, of suicide  . I almost cried because there wasn't enough pixie dust in the world, to take me away from my sister and sil, while standing in line at BTRRM- during extra magic hours, so the lines wasn't the problem, they were :headache: ; I'm looking forward to going back to DHS, because last year, DH and I were duped into watching all of my nieces and nephew, the entire day (My siblings lied and said they were going to the restroom, then never came back. We found out, later that evening, they went to the water parks and left their kids with us  ); To top things off, the day we all left, my siblings came to our room at the BC and asked to borrow $243 because they "went over on their room charges" :furious:

This year, DH, DS and I are going back and we have gone to great lengths to keep this vacation the secret of our lives ;) We've decided they wouldn't be invited to ride along to the supermarket with us :scared: , let alone, our future vacations.

BTW, I just typed up the mild version and skipped a several events, because almost a year later, I'm still trying not to get angry, all over again. Did I mention, DH and I paid for the entire trip, for everyone  .... okay, okay, I'm done... think happy thoughts, breathe in, think happy thoughts, breathe out, think happy thoughts.....

yikes, you might want to look into the witness protection plan!:scared:

:scared1: After that nightmare vacation you and DH and DS deserve to have the trip of your lives! Enjoy the planning, wishing you a wonderful trip! :cheer2:

There are more than 5 states between us and there's no consideration, to invite them to our home, yet. Dh and I agree, if we were to ever move, again, we would just make the gap, larger :)

On our way home, from this very, expensive nightmare, I realized I can never marry anyone else because my dh didn't wake me up, when they came to our room to "borrow" money. He just gave it to them and told me, he felt sorry for the entire trip and didn't have it in his heart to wake me up, to deal with their issues, so early in the morning :lovestruc He waited to tell me about it, after we got home.

We leave on July 4th. We really have this trip planned for tons of fun. We are going to stay at the Swan, for the first two nights. Then, check-in at the Poly for the remaining 7 nights. We're really looking forward to the Cirque du Soliel show, since we've never seen it. Plus, Dh made reservations at Victoria and Albert's, for the two of us.

After we check-out at the Poly, we're heading to KSC- ds9 is all set for space camp, that week :goodvibes

We are looking forward to returning to our happy place, alone :cloud9:

Oh My... I totally feel for you!!! I totally put ny foot down when both my mom and DH's parents asked to go with us!! No way !!! I could go into detail - actually I did go into detail on my PTR -

Again I totally feel for you!!!!

oh my! donaldndaisy, you put my family vacations in perspective! And I agree with the pp, you won/lost the contest!!! ;)

wishing you a wonderful trip ALONE! pixiedust: :cool1:

These are always the kinds of "contests" no one wants to win :scared: At least, I know this will neverhappen, again. We will continue to vacation alone, from now on :)

Not Disney related, but only because DD hasn't been there yet. I'm sure I'll come back with some stories. Here are a couple that make me scared to take DD out in public:

The other night DD and I were outside when I pointed out the first star to pop out. (I think it was Venus, but whatever.) I said, “Look, let’s make a wish on that star! I wish for a big hug from DD.” So she jumped up into my arms and gave me a huge squeeze. I was thinking about how sweet she was. Then she farted against my arm and said, “You wished for that too.”

So much for my sweet little girl.

:rotfl: This is so funny! And it reminds me of the time dd (3 at the time) closed her eyes, wished on the wishing star, then opened them. Then she said, let's go look in the front yard. I asked her what we were looking at the front yard for, and she replied "my pony". Poor baby still doesn't have the pony.

Gee, are our kids seperated at birth?? My dd4 is the same way. I'm waiting for the inevitable announcement in a quiet setting that she farted. :rotfl2:
Although I'll probably look more like this:

maybe, but if that is the case, thank goodness! because how could you handle two of them? :scared:
