Most embarrassing thing in your house

The fact that my almost 18 year old kitty has his own bathroom all to himself. It's right at the top of the stairs and contains his litter box in the tub, a step-stool in & one out, a nightlight, a comforter, a pillow, kitty bed, a bowl for food and a bowl for water AND it's decorated with frogs.

Okay - I think that outdoes my "peepad" collection (which is out on the terrace).

Now in my Little Rock condo the worst thing until the demo and remodeling started was the NASTY NASTY NASTY carpet that smelled like someone had dumped 4-5 gallons of dog urine on it. Oh my gosh - you could hardly breathe when you walked in there. They even had to replace all the subflooring.

Unfortunately...this thing:

7.5' tall Jack Skellington Big Figure. It makes me nuts and we keep it in the den so I don't have to see it on a daily basis. He only comes out for Halloween. Fully articulated and posable. One of my BF's favorite belongings.

That would scare me!

To the person who is rereading the SV books, wow that might take a while! Wish I could do it too but I don't have the complete series of each. Definitely something I'm going to work on!

Mine would probably be the lifesize cardboard cut out of Hannah Montana.

My kids' rooms are pretty gross and I have three!

When I clean them, it somehow translates into kid language that another mess needs to be made I can't keep up When my MIL comes over, I shut the door

My collection of the Sweet Valley books. NO ONE is to know that I'm rereading them all before SV Confidental is released in 2011.

Our upstairs bath. It was apparently designed by brain-dead crack-smoking midgets - no one over 5'4" can stand upright in the shower beacuse it was installed on the sloped wall, and no one bigger than a size 7 can squeeze through between the tub surround wall and the oversized vanity to actually get to the toilet. Add in a couple of coachlight style wall sconces that would look lovely on the front of a garage, a floor-to-ceiling unfrosted window that just screams "Look at the naked people", an 80s style glass-stuck-to-wall unframed mirror, cream & green stickyback flooring tiles, and cream and blue tile in the tub area that was clearly leftover from the kitchen backsplash (where it actually matches!), and it is just about as hideous as a bathroom can be. Oh, and did I mention that the tub itself is pink?

It's on the remodel list for spring, but we had to redo the downstairs bath first so that we won't be without a shower while the mess upstairs is gutted and made into something attractive and functional. And in the house's defense, it was built before indoor plumbing and finding places to stick bathrooms couldn't have been an easy task.

I am not in the least embarrassed, but my husband won't let me hang my Elvis clock with the swivel hips! I used to have it in my office at work, but I work from home now and he said no way!

I dearly want a good velvet Elvis painting. I think I need a woman cave!
