I just looked at my map of the Epcot Resort area and madalex is correct. I think the only difference is from the Boardwalk it's just a longer to Epcot.
I usually walk to Epcot from the Swan by way of the Boardwalk. But the "boardwalk" is not the same as the "walking path" that goes to Hollywood Studios.

The wooden part part of the Boardwalk ends well before one gets to Epcot. Thus, there is a walking path from the Boardwalk to Epcot and a walking path from the Boardwalk to DHS.

After the wooden boardwalk ends by ESPN Club, the asphalt walkway (that's wide enough to be a road) goes up and over the bridge - where it meets the sidewalk that runs in front of the Beach Club. The boat from the Boardwalk will get to Epcot faster than the boat from the Yacht/Beach Club (which stops at the Boardwalk next) - but the Beach Club is still closer for walking purposes.
I know I cant make it to the Poly and back btwn Off Kilter sets but I can definately make it to the BCV and back btwn sets (with time to spare in the room!)
