I know most resort lobbies have a kids area, some resorts have near to no lobby at all (Ft Wilderness has a few rockers and a TV for kids but that's about it) Which lobby would you most prefer to call "home" for several hours while waiting for your ride? Remember, this is for the most COMFORTABLE lobby, not necessarily the nicest.

Please pardon my squishing the Values together - I wanted to add Swan/Dolphin as choices but polls only allow 12 choices.

Update... added Poll - Part 2 for all the missed resorts... hehe. Oops. They say the memory is the first to go. Time for a refresher visit.

WL Hands down!!!! I walk into that resort and feel at home immediately!

I voted for Animal Kingdom Lodge because I think the lobby is pretty comfortable, plus there is tons to do at the resort. You could walk around and check out the animals, story telling, etc. depending on when you are there waiting.

I voted for WL. It's cozy, the couches are so comfortable, the dark wood is soothing, the atmosphere makes you want to cuddle up and take a snooze!

I voted for the Polynesian... I could spend hours in that lobby. The Wilderness Lodge has a really nice one too. :)

I love the BWI's lobby. the wl is nice, as is akl, but for some reason I just love/feel so comfortable in the bwi.

I voted for Wilderness Lodge but if I was waiting several hours I would walk over the the Villas @ Wilderness Lodge and wait either in the Lobby there or the Iron Spike room. All the DVC Resorts have beautiful lobbies/waiting areas.

I love the Poly. There are quite a few places that you can grab a chair and relax for a while. Upstairs by O'hana and Tambu Lounge there are many chairs to kick back in. The kiddos can also grab a seat and watch cartoons next to Boutiki.

Wait......Why are you waiting several hours for a ride?

Yes....I wanted to ask that too

There are any number of reasons why a family or individual may need to wait some length of time for their "ride" (livery service/ME/Personal car etc). It could be the dad is retrieving the car from the TTC after it broke down on the way in. Perhaps they have a late night flight out and just need to relax after hitting the parks or swimming, or maybe someone in the family is ill  and they really can't go trekking around the parks and just want to wait out the time before the flight. Personally, I'd MUCH rather wait in the lobby of my favorite Disney resort than in an airport terminal. Perhaps you're different. :confused3

This poll was to find out which resorts folk found to be the most comfortable. It didn't have to be specifically for that wait if it should happen.

Thanks for the questions. :goodvibes And THANK YOU to all who've participated in the poll! I voted BW/WL/AK as my favorites, but admit there are many resorts I've never seen the lobbies of.

I voted for WL because I was in that situation last Feb!

I arrived after a red eye flight from CA at 7am. I checked in but my room was not ready. I was waiting on my sister and friend to come in via ME, but they had later arriving flights than I.

I ate breakfast, but didn't want to leave the WL, since I wanted to be there when my travel companions arrived, plus I was SOOOOO tired! I just wanted to sleep, really (no sleep on the plane). Plus, it was cold and drizzling outside, so I really wanted to just stay put.

Well, my room ended up being ready at 10:30, but I spent a good 3 hours kicking back in the WL lobby and the Iron Spike Room at the Villas next door. I found a nice huge, cushy armchair next to the front desk and enjoyed watching people arrive/check in, especially liked seeing all the excited kids. :goodvibes I didn't want to get out of that seat, but when I found out my room was ready, I was outta there! Lobby is nice....bed is nicer! :thumbsup2

I really think the best lobby is at BC. I chose Swan because it is my second favorite.

Hm. Although it seems WL is way out in front, it's hard to compare the results without more data. Maybe AKL would be the leader if more people had stayed there. Maybe the All Stars folk are sworn to secrecy at check-in never to reveal how great their lobbies are ;)

Perhaps some pics od people sleeping on the chairs & couches as proof of how comfortable the lobbies are :confused3 the "most comfortable" pic wins? :rotfl:
