Hi there. Which of these is the most appealing option to you? We will be fresh off a 4 night cruise. We have been to the MK before three times. 3 kiddos, age 5, 8 and 10.We will have one day only.

1. Off the cruise ship, straight to Contemporary Resort, walk asap to Magic Kingdom for the day of MNSSHP. It will be EMH in the am. We'd probably get there 10:30 or 11ish. Will require a hard ticket for the party in addition to MK ticket. So, MK all day. Walk back to Contemp and sleep. We could have Chef Mickey's in the am for breakfast before heading home.

2. Off the cruise ship, straight to the Beach Club, asap to Stormalong Bay. Swim and relax until lunch. Eat at Beaches and Cream. Have the kitchen sink. Bus to MK for park entry with MNSSHP ticket at 4. So, party from 4-midnight at MK. Bus back to BC. Cape May breakfast the next morning.

Any input would help me. I cannot decide. Beach Club seems so charming to me. We've been to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's once before. I think the kids would love Stormalong Bay, but wonder if it will be killing me to be there at Disney at not be at the MK every possible minute. My sensible side tells me it's ridiculous to consider buying double tickets for few extra hours on this one day. What do you think?

I think the BC option is the better choice. We loved SAB and if you've never been and you'll be able to go to MK anyway I'd do both SAB and MK later in day. Like you said buying 2 tickets for just a few hours doesn't make sense to me whe you could spend some of the day doing something new and believe me my kids thought SAB was almost as good as being in the park. Hope I helped a little.

I would go with the BC option too. Enjoy SAB, BC, and Boardwalk area, then go to MK for the party.
And if the party is to midnight, you'll have plenty of time at MK, I think it would be to exhausting to be there all day too. And 1 day tix are sooooo expensive. Esp for 5!

I would go with the BC as well :). I wouldn't buy a 1 day ticket for MK since you'll be there later that afternoon with the party running until midnight. I say enjoy SAB before heading to the MK at 4:00 :thumbsup2. Plus Cape May is a great choice for breakfast and is one of our favorites......we eat there at least once every trip :goodvibes.

We are planning on staying at BC as well when we go...I like the SAB and I like how close the BW area is. That gives you even more choices in dining and activity options

relax at pool

going to MK when its an early entry morning at midday will not be any fun unless you enjoy waiting in lines with no FP's

you also wont have to be a drill sargent getting everyone off the boat at the crack of dawn either

sleep in on boat, catch the last few minutes of topsiders buffet and enjoy the pool at BC because youll be going hard that night

I am another one that thinks the BC option is your best bet. Why spend more money on extra tickets when you can relax by an awesome pool during the day, have B&C for lunch and then head over to MK for the party....and well rested BTW. Also, our family loves Cape May Cafe breakfast, it is a must do each trip, and that alone helped me to choose which option, plus the fact that we love the whole Epcot resort area and BC is one of our favorite resorts. Have an awesome trip :goodvibes

My vote is for the BC as well. You're getting off a cruise- enjoy land, kick back and relax at SAB, have a delicious time at B&C. It's so worth it! Especially if you've never stayed at the BC before.

I would say if you are planning to spend time at the Magic Kingdom go with the Contemporary, because from there you will have the Resort Monorail access and the walkway which goes there. Plus their rooms are among the biggest of the Deluxe Resorts. However if you are planning to spend time at Epcot and Hollywood Studios then you should go with the Beach Club.

Definitely the BC choice. Although we've not stayed there, we've visited a number of times and it is a beautiful resort. We've stayed at the CR a couple of times and wer enot overly impressed and won't be back.

I'm not sure if this is your first cruise or not, but it is an early morning the day you disembark. I love both resorts! Beach club is probably our favorite as we love storm along bay and beaches and cream. I think your option 2 sounds great and grabbing a nap before heading into mnsshp. Contemporary would be great for walking to and from the party, but I would not try to do Mk during the day as well. I would be afraid to spend that much on two tickets and feel too tired to enjoy the party. We did mnsshp two years ago and you should feel like you get everything in if you are there at 4. Good luck with your decision!

Another vote for BC. We really love CR under these circumstances it is not necessary to purchase a MK ticket you will be going a couple hours later.

Oh boy, I so agree with the post below. While it is a tough decision, because you will be coming in on your post-cruise travel day, I would vote for BC. I am a HUGE fan of walking to/from MK, like you can at CR, but since the day of the party is also a rest up day so that you can enjoy the party, I think cooling off at SAB and resting up for the party is a wise choice, rather than fighting the crowds at MK during the day and then some how trying to last well into the night to enjoy the party. Good luck whatever you choose! tink

Great information! We are also heading to the CR after our 1st Cruise on 10/30. Was debating on trying to rush into a park that day OR relaxing by pool and heading to MNSSHP or not. I think dates are for 10/30, 10/31 & 11/1 so we may have a few days to play around with. Our family loved it so much that we did not want to miss it this year - but i want to MAKE SURE they all enjoy it (not to tired from the early morning rise off the boat!) and we get our $$$$ worth!
The DIS site is such a great place for info!!! So thankful to have found it!

OOOH I would do the BC option. That sounds like a wonderful day and evening. And then Cape May the next morning....perfect way to end what sounds like a fabulous trip. :cloud9:

In all these years I have never actualy stayed at CR or BLT now. I have visited when we went with friends to stayed there. We were at the Poly. I do not care for the decor there. You can find that look in a large hotel in any city you visit. So I would say BC. But that is my opinion.
