We're planning a trip to DW in early May 2007. My son will be 3.5 yrs old then. We live in NJ, and during the summer the bugs just love him. He literally looks like a pin cushion by the end of the summer. Are the mosquitos any worse in FW than, say, POR? Sorry if this is a dumb question! I'm just trying to think of everything before deciding where to stay. Thanks!

Mosquitos are not a big problem. There will be some around but May is the begining of the Yellow Fly / Deer Fly season and they bite hard and just will not go away. Its always a battle to the death with those things. So come prepaired.

Bring a good quality insect repellant. Something with DEET works best. The deer flies are large with a painful bite which turns into a many days long itch. FW sprays for mosquitoes daily - the mosquito truck goes through the loops early in the morning. I recommend not leaving towels on the line overnight for this reason.
