Morrisons Disney promotion

Morrisons are running a new Disney promotion starting tomorrow:

If you spend £30 in store you get a pack of Disney trading cards. If you find a golden ticket (there are 1000) you win a 2 night stay at Disneyland Paris!

You can get bonus packs of tickets by buying selected products as detailed on the website. They're also running a weekly draw online.

we've been seeing this advert on british tv... sadly there's no morrisons here in ireland though...

my girlfriend would do anything for another trip over! even though were going to WDW at the end of next month.

i'm wondering if i can persuade my parents in england to start shopping there...

We got 5 packs but no golden ticket As we went round the shop DD kept telling me to hurry up because there'd be no golden tickets left. When we got back to the car and opened the packets DD burst into tears. Think I might need to avoid Morrisons the trauma is just too much.

Without being too negative.......

...... Over a quarter of a billion cards have been printed and there are 1000 golden tickets out there.

With these types of promotion there are usually about one quarter of all printed cards remaining at the end of the promotion period, which means there will probably be around 750 "Golden Tickets" in circulation.

That being said..... I have been to Morrisons three times and picked up 14 packs of cards, just on the off chance.... YOU NEVER KNOW do you?

haha its fine, I heard it all in my head anyway XD

I love how they've put Disney music on though! But still don't understand why you don't get the cards from buying the Disney products!

So with 7 cards per pack that means one golden ticket per 35000 packs! about the same chance of winning an equivalent amount on the lottery. Certainaly worth picking up if you're shopping in Morrisons anyway, but probably not worth spending more just to get extra packs.

The cards are quite nice so I'll be collecting them for DD anyway.

Has anyone else noticed if the cards are randomly distributed? I've only had 3 packs so far and 2 of them had 6 of the same cards in. the only difference being the shiny card. Seems unlikely to me.

(tinks kindly sending me some cards to appease my Daughter who has been sucked in by the Adverts and keeps wanting to go to Morrisons, even though we're already Going to DLP this year). But on the chance someone we know ends up in Morrisons, I want to be forearmed with what to tell them..!

Apparently, there are 99 cards in the set, but some 'Shiny' variations making it up to 132 for the serious collectors, so it's worth double-checking what may seem like duplicates.

Also, there's an album to keep them all in, which I assume you buy in-store, though I've yet to see it listed anywhere.

Seems to be some differing in how the cards are given out - with some people online reporting that if they bought Multiples of the qualifying items, they were only being given 1 pack of cards for All of them. (probably as there will be many people who just go in and buy £30 worth of the qualifying stuff!). Anyone here got any experience of this either way?

Iv yet to make it to Morrisons,lucky if I get out of my jim jams at the moment!!If anyone has any spare cards that they wouldn't mind sending my daughter then I would be eternally grateful,she'd love to get some,I will of course cover postage/costs.

When we went last week we bought beef stock which was buy one get one free and also a qualifying item and we got a pack of cards for each of them.
May be they have started getting strict when they have started running low :s
