The first three days of our trip we will be staying at the Holiday Inn Family Suites (HIFS). I understand this resort is very close to one of the WDW exits. I have read that I4 is very busy in the mornings and there is also congestion on the WDW internal road system as well.

How long should I expect it to take to get from the HIFS to the Animal Kingdom on a Sunday morning? We have PS at Breakfastosaurus for 7:30 AM. If we leave the HIFS at 7:00 AM do you think that is enough time to get to the AK parking lot, park, and get to the front gates in time to make our seating? If not, what time would you suggest? (We have a rental car, won't be using the HIFS shuttle.)

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Actually, the HIFS is on a road that enters directly into WDW. (If you're familiar with the area, it's across the highway from Marriott Orlando World Center). You won't even have to get on I-4. You would turn left out of HIFS. I can't recall if there is a traffic light there or not. If not, a left turn could be difficult. Maybe someone else could address that.
On a Sunday at 7:00 am, I would think that you wouldn't have any traffic problems.
