Morning plan worthless if not using MM?

We are AP's and we're going Thursday. We NEVER go on MM days, but we had no choice. Is the "Get there early" rule worthless for us since we'll have to wait an hour? It's peak season still, and we were just wondering. There's only two of us (no kids), so we can make good use our time.

Just wondering from anyone who has done this....

The "get there early" rule is absolutely NOT worthless just because it's a MM day. Get there early and line up by a MM gate (so that when MM ends, you will be one of the first ones in that line). Then you get into the park and grab a FP for something (no FPs are distributed during MM) and head over to the left side of the park to ride Indy, Splash, Big Thunder, HM, Pirates, etc. and then hop to DCA after a couple hours.

Ignore FL and Nemo and Buzz, get to the parts of the park where the MM people won't be (since they'll all be stuck in the last line they got into before MM ended), and get a good start to your day!!!
