I've read several reviews discussing how crowded the parks get for evening EMHs. But I'd like to hear some reviews about the value of morning EMHs. Is it worth giving up an hour of sleep to do this?

We NEVER miss an AM EMH.

Many guests simply REFUSE to get up early on vacation. (For that I thank them.;) )
So the generally the AM EMH crowds are amazingly low.
And, since it takes a while before even the "regular" guests actually start getting there by the regular open time, AM EMH attendees can still have the rest of the park attractions "to themselves" for about an hour MORE after the EMH ends.

(just noticed I'm following you from thread to thread :cool1: )

Morning EMH can be beneficial-- you can really get a lot done in that hour, However, you need to make sure of two things if you're going to take advantage of it. You need to get there at the beginning of the EMH, and you need to have the ability to park hop, since the EMH park usually gets packed around noon. So if you park hop, you can switch to a different park after the first couple of hours.

Personally, we skip the EMH mornings, get the extra hour of sleep, than arrive at another non-EMH park at rope drop (usually the park that held their EMH the day before.)

DD & I hit every Morning EMH a few weeks back .We are the only ones that get on the Big rides so we get them all in before the rest even get up.

They then either meet us in the park or we leave and hit the water parks.

I do not go to EMH parks, AM or PM. Works for me.

And welcome to the DIS.

OK, Stupid Question Alert: i am embarassed to even ask this as I have been to WDW 9 times...I should know this. I am in crazy planner mode ever snce I found the DIS. I never paid much attention to EMH, sometimes I went and sometimes I didn't. However, I do not understand how AM EMH can be SO empty and yet the park during the day is busier than a non-EMH day! I am sorry if this doesn't make sense or is just a dumb question, but I just don't get it. If so few people go to the AM EMH what makes MORE people go to it during the day??? What makes PM EMH so mcuh busier than the AM ones?? Please let me know, I have been trying to figure it out, and (even though I am not an idiot, a college grad, and a Disney veteran) I just can't...Thank you!

The parks for Morning EMH get busy because of all the resort guess that go,the ones that plan to go but get their late, then all the regular guest that were going anyhow. Then you have the whenever I get up I'll go .

That first hour is the best to get a few fastpasses and a few good rides done . It really works if your an early riser.

The PM ones are normally busy as they really don't kick out NON-Resort guest they just don't let them ride rides . Then add to that most other parks are closed so everyone awake ends up at that park in the evening.

For most it's easier to stay-up then to get-up while on vacation 3Am in MK makes for a hard time to get up at 6 to eat and make the EMH rope drop..

Thats just my thought I hope it helps. We hit 3 parks and a water park one day a few weeks ago and had a blast doing so.No camando just on the move type of days for us now.
