Morning EMH Question

Anyone tried morning EMH recently? We have a trip in late April-early May and are thinking that we might be able to get a good bit done by utilizing morning EMH at AK and MK (which we haven't done in recent trips) then hopping to a different park after lunch. Trying to figure out best way to get as much done as possible without long standby lines in light of the FP+ issues. I guess my question is do you get more done by 11AM at a park with morning EMH than one without or are morning EMH's so crowded that you are better off going to a different park at RD? A more concrete example is on Apr. 30 - would you get to AK before 8AM for a morning EMH then leave around 11 or just go to MK at 9AM?

We took advantage of AM EMH at AK on Monday and was able to get a lot done. It didn't really start getting busy until about 1000.

We always take advantage of EMH's and get a lot done - always worth it to us.

I did EE 3 times in less than 15 minutes last week during EMH.

Rode once in SB (less then five minutes), went back through SR and waited about 20 seconds (only one in line), went right back to SR and they gave me a lane assignment before I even reached the CM.

Went to GS and replace the MB that the Yeti ate. Just flew off my wrist, :confused3.

Got on a bus for Epcot and changed all my FP's to morning, got there at opening and rode everthing there by 1pm.

I'm now a big fan of morning EMH. ;)

(last week was busy with Mardi Gras and 2 sports competitions and the Brazilian Tour Groups so not slow)

What time do they normally open the gates for a.m. EMH (MK specifically)? If it's set for 8 a.m., do they open right at 8 a.m., or is it more like 7:45-7:50?

Also, if you have an ADR for 8:15 on an EMH day, do they let you into the park before 8 a.m. like they do on a non-EMH day?

Thanks!

If they do the full "Welcome" show, they'll open the front gates about 15-20 minutes early.

Guests will be admitted to the PARK about straight-up 8AM.

I tried Early EMH at AK end of February. They were supposed to open the park at 8. We got there at 7:30, they ended up actually opening the park at 7:42 (I believe) which was awesome! We got to ride every ride that we wanted to (including Everest and Dinosaur) by 8:30. We finished every ride that even remotely interested us, (no walking tours or shows as we were also going to epcot) and were able to head out by 10:30, before there was even a real crowd. Then we went and hopped to EPCOT for the remainder of the day. It was a fantastic experience.

DO IT for both parks! MK head straight to FL, if you have little ones.

Yes, I agree...everyone please continue to go to parks that has EMH.

That way, the recommended non EMH parks stay less crowded.

;)
