We are planning to go to Magic Kingdom morning EMH in mid June. It’s just a one day trip for us. We did not get fast passes for peter pan or seven dwarfs mine train. Will those already have a line at 8 AM? Is there a good chance we could do both of them a couple times before there are long lines?

We’ve been on dozens of trips but we’ve never done morning EMH or even rope drop before. Thanks!

Based on my experience, you won't be able to do both of them even once before there is a line. If you arrive for morning EMH and are near the front then you can probably do one or the other without much wait but otherwise you are looking at 45+ minutes pretty soon after the park opens for each ride. We've done Space Mountain and Buzz multiple times with no waits during morning EMH, but haven't seen Peter Pan or 7 Dwarfs with short waits except right after park open.

I would get to 7DMT quickly and do that first. Dash over to PP, it won't be a walk-on but I bet it would be a 20 minute or so wait. The queue is fantastic so the 20 mins would be filled with magic.

I agree with joyjoy.

You want to be AT the turnstiles by 7:30. That means already through security, so leaving your resort 6:45 or so (depending on where you're staying). Once they let you through and onto Main St, you want to head up and to the right of the castle toward Fantasyland. (Check out Robo's maps, so you know where you're going.) Ride 7DMT first, then head to PP. If you want to ride both, you can't have multiple rides. If you want to sacrifice one, you might could get a second ride before the line gets too long. Keep an eye on the wait times, though. About 8:45 or so, the wait at 7DMT might go back down a bit just before the offsite guests are let into the park.

Thanks for everyone’s feedback! To be honest - this doesn’t sound worth it a all. It doesn’t make sense to leave our resort at 6:45 and be in line at 7:30 to basically get one ride in without lines. I like 7 dwarfs....but not that much. I thought the park would be pretty empty during EMH. But if we’re not going to get on several rides without lines I don’t think we will want to do it. Thanks again for the responses!

Well, while maybe not ideal - that one hour of EMH gives you the best chances of lower ride wait times all day. If you otherwise can’t FP those two rides, it’s among the best options.

Alternatively, wait until the very end of the night if an option.

Another alternative, bail on those two rides and take advantage of the EMH time to do other Fantasyland and Tomorrowland rides which will have shorter waits.

Well, if you want to do BTMRR multiple times with minimal waits, that should work. And I think that is a better ride than 7DMT. For some reason 80% of the people at RD head to 7DMT or PP. I mean, they're fun rides, but really? Start somewhere else and you'd probably do great!

I think EMH can be really magical but only if you don't go where everyone else is going. We had a morning EMH at MK as well as an evening one. During the one hour of EMH we did Talking Mickey, Tinkerbell, Space Mountain, Buzz (X2) and the People Mover--in one hour. We did EMH every day and always loved it. We never arrived before park opening and thought it was well worth it every day. The two rides you mention are pretty much the only rides that will have substantial lines during that hour.

Just to not confuse the OP or others, Frontierland isn’t open during MK AM EMHs.

But otherwise for a regular rope drop, totally agree.

As others have said, you asked about the two most popular rides. We went in late October, and we did Astro Orbiter, Buzz Lightyear (2x), Speedway, People Mover, and Carousel of Progress all in that first hour. There were very few people in Tomorrowland for the whole hour; it was great!

And we didn't get there at 7:30; we actually got there a few minutes after 8:00.
