Morning EMH at AK...yay or nay?

I'm deciding between 2 days for visiting AK. Touring plans has both days as "level 4" crowds, but one of the days has EMH from 8-9am and other blogs recommend avoiding it. Are the parks really that bad on days with morning EMH?

If Pandora is high on your list, I would recommend doing morning EMH. I have also known AK to be the park with the least crowded EMH with my experiences. That sorta changed when Pandora opened though.

If you're staying onsite and can take advantage of the early EMH, I'd do it, especially for AK. If the park seems more crowded to you later in the day, just take a break or if you have park hoppers, go somewhere else.

In January (so prior to Pandora) we did morning magic hours and got a good deal done. We were done with AK before lunch. So yes I think they're worth it.

I am planning on EMH at AK for Pandora and hoping it will be less crowded than the regular opening times. But, I am staying onsite, so I can take advantage of EMH and I have Hoppers, so we can hop out if it gets crowded.

We're planning a similar approach in Sept. Hopeful we can get some Pandora done during EMH.

It looks like we are there at the same time. I have two choices for AM EMH at AK: Sat, Sept 2 and Mon, Sept 4. Since we're going to MNSHHP on Sept 1st, we won't make it out in time for EMH on Sept 2. So, I'm planning on Sept 4th.

Actually, we're planning to do both of those EMHs This is our first trip with park hoppers in ages so between that and the express transportation, we plan to hop like crazy
Hopefully it all works out - and we both have successful EMH Pandora time!

Yay and its not even close. My favorite park to take advantage of EMH is AK. Its the best park on the morning. I love seeing the animals out early, also you can get a few rides on EE and they also have one of my favorite breakfast spots on Disney property, Kusafiri Café. They make a great Danish and cinnamon roll. Take my advice Morning EMH at Ak is well worth it.

I never look at touring plans or crowd calendars, I go to the parks on days I want to go. EMH are a huge plus for us. We will be going in EMH when they have AM EMH. We have a FP for one ride in Pandora and we'll do Expedition Everest at least twice, Dinosaur and the Safari. We only do half days so getting there early is key

If you like Everest - then yes! We rode it like 4 times before we had to move and we probably didn't get there until 815. Then to Kilimanjaro with little wait
