Good morning everyone!! Up and working on Disney plans!

So, I scored breakfast reservations to Be Our Guest on a Friday at 8:30 AM. YAY! We are coming for a week in December and plan to do two days of Magic Kingdom, so Friday would be our second day at MK. We are traveling with two very small children who don't do big rides yet.

Questions:
-What time will they let us in to the park for an 8:30 reservation?
-Is it worth doing the reservation at 8:30 when the park officially opens at 9, but there are morning extra magic hours from 8-9? We are NOT staying on property so I don't think we can take advantage of riding rides before 9?

I have reservations to Be Our Guest the day before (Thursday) at 9:30 but the earlier the better for our family, plus I'd rather be at Magic Kingdom on our last day of vacation. But I want to make sure I'm not making a bad decision doing Magic Kingdom on the morning magic hours day before I cancel our Thursday reservation.

It is a poor choice going to a park on the morning that it is hosting an AM EMH, if you are not able to participate in the full EMH.

Thanks for the input. Would you do Thursday at 9:30 then? I also feel like the 9:30 cuts into some valuable short line time!!

I'd drop the BoG at 9:30, and change it to a much later time of day, when "riding time" is less important than in the early morning.

Yeah... would, but there are no more reservations available. Maybe some will open as we get closer but I doubt it because of the popularity. I think we will have to pick between our two options if we want to try the restaurant!

Try to get a lunch ressie, instead. You are eating up the best park touring time by dining at 9:30am. Use Touring Plans Reservation Finder to try to find a lunch ressie, and keep checking back every day, especially as the trip gets closer (especially the day & night before- that's people's last chance to cancel.)

how does touring plans reservation finder work? do I pay to use it? I saw a subscription fee.

BOG reservations usually open up as the dates get closer, especially for smaller party sizes. Keep checking!

If you want to go to MK on your final day, then do it! Don't let dining reservations dictate which parks you attend. EMH will be a factor, but maybe not much of an issue for the rides you are interested in. Get a touringplans subscription (not free, but cheap and very helpful in many ways!!), then download their lines app. Figure out which days are EMH and which aren't during the next week or two, then you can use it to see how EMH affects the wait times of the rides you are most interested in.

1. do you know if we can get in the park at 8 with an 8:30 reservation? for morning EMH,
2. do they scan magic bands??

1. I don't 'know" it, but you likely can get in by 8:15, all based on the CMs who happen to be working that day.

2. If you mean do they scan MBs in order to ride the AM EMH attractions, then no.

The Touring Plans reservation finder is free. You don't have to pay the subscription to use it.
