Today, DD and I were sitting at one of those little tables across from the Plaza restaurant in MK waiting to be called in for lunch. Suddenly, I felt something on the back of my neck. I thought it was a bee. I stood up and started walking away from the table just in case. Then, DD yells "There's a big spider on your neck!". Needless to say, I started smacking at it and told her to "Get it off!". I managed to knock it to the ground and it went running. By this time, everyone close by was looking at me like I'd lost my mind. Nothing like making a scene in front of dozens of people!

Unfortunately for the spider, it had a too close encounter with the shoe of another tourist.

Fortunaely it wasn't a tarantula. I wonder if those even exist in Florida. We get those around here, and even if you don't mind spiders, those are soo gross!

LOL SM. I used to go to summercamp in South Texas and we'd see big honkin' tarantulas all the time. The camp director insisted we not kill them because the spiders would eat the fleas and woodticks (or so he claimed).
