Hi everyone and happy new year. We are dvc members and we are looking at booking two different resorts for our next walt disney world trip and wondered if anyone has done this before and how you found moving from one resort to another, was it stress free ? did the staff take your luggage to the other resort for you ? etc etc

We are looking at the boardwalk for a week then either bay lake (our dvc home) or animal kingdom lodge for the 2nd week.
We only want to do this to experiance some more disney dvc resorts.

I do it all the time. In early Dec, my dd and I spent two nights at BLT and two nights at BWV. A few years ago, this was my itinerary....1 night at AKL-Jambo House, 4 nights at BWV, 2 nights at Kidani, 5 nights at Pop, 2 nights at BWV!!! It was really crazy. But there were reasons to do it that way, and it was just me making all those changes after the first week.

In any case...this is how you can do it. On the last day at your first resort, hand your bags off to Bell Services as early as possible. Then, head to a park until around 11ish. Head to your 'new' resort, get checked in. Most likely your villa won't be ready yet, but they will text you as soon as it is. Go back to a park. Your bags most likely won't get there until late afternoon/early evening...which I find to be a huge pain.

If you want to avoid the whole 'not having your bags' issue, just pack up in the morning, get a cab to the new resort and head there with your bags. That way, you'll have your bags when your villa is ready....rather than having to wait to unpack and get settled.

I own at both BLT and BWV...so love that combination. BUT...I also love Kidani. Unfortunately, the rest of my family doesn't love Kidani as much as I do...looks like any stays there will be when I'm on my own.
IF it were me, and I was thinking of those particular resorts, I would be very tempted to try to book all three of them....I told you I was a wee bit crazy. Maybe 5, 5 and 4???
