More shooting / gun activity in Halifax and surrounding areas

Well, unfortunately, there are a number of gun/shooting alerts happening right now in Halifax. Multiple areas in Halifax, Dartmouth, Sackville, Hammonds Plains areas (all around 20 minutes of each other)

They issued the Emergency Alert on cellphones this time saying to stay inside.

You can find updates on cbc.ca, Halifax Noise (facebook and instagram).

Editing: Shots were NOT fired in those other areas, but Police have been seen at various stores with guns drawn.

It kind of seems like police are being pulled to every major city in HRM. Almost like a distraction from something bigger to happen. Really strange.

They are still investigating the shots fired in the Haliburton Hills/Highland park subdivisions in Hammonds Plains area, but the Dartmouth Canadian Tire weapons complaint was two men passing an airsoft gun back and forth in the parking lot while deciding on which type of ammo to buy. They have been charged by police (I forget the actual charge).

They determined another in the Glen Arbour subdivision in Hammonds Plains was construction, and another on Connaught Avenue in Halifax as blasting.

Shelter in place cancelled

All clear was given minutes ago from RCMP Halifax on their twitter page. Alert just went to telephones.

Charges are pending against two people.
