More questions about AP and tickets (kinda long)

I have a few questions about Universal tickets and I apologize b/c I know they have been asked before (again and again!).
I originally had the free 4 all package and I changed it yesterday. I'm now getting the HRH at the AP rate. I now have lots of questions about tickets!
I plan on buying an AP but do not know if I should get it from Costco or Universal. The Costco AP is just like the Universal AP? meaning discounts on food and merchandise? I like the Costco AP with the 15 months, hoping we can maybe go back before it runs out next summer. If you get the UO AP pass does it have you picture on it and the Costco does not.
I will also get the adult ticket with the free childs ticket. I will need 2 adults for DH and DS and will have a free ticket for DD with 1 extra ticket. I believe I read somewhere that they expire Dec. 06. So I was thinking about bringing my DN with us, or possibly saving it for DH and myself if we go to HRH which we have been talking about but cannot find any other couples to go w/ us (too scared!! when you mention haunted houses)
What is KIOSK?? I have read where people buy their tickets online then pick them up at Kiosk. Is it close buy UO and what is that charge.

the AP offered through Costco is the same as the UO AP, but has a bonus 3 months. the quickest way to activate it is buy them with a credit card at Costco. you'll then take your vouchers and the same credit card with you purchased them with to UO. outside the main gates are the electronic ticketing kiosks. they look like an ATM. you punch in the code from your vouchers and swipe the credit card for security backup. the kiosk will print out tickets to get you into the park of your choice. before you leave that park, you must go to vacation services to process your AP, and have your picture taken. then you get your AP, just like a drivers license.

Thanks for help! I thought Kiosk was like a mailing store where you pick up things! Boy I was off!! I will only need to activate my tickets one time when I get there and that will be it.
