More Park availability in June just released! HS available!

I just checked in today. Increasing the capacity without bringing back Fastpasses or adding more shows isn't fair to those who booked their trip based on 35% capacity. Ride wait times are going to explode while I'm here. They should have given us some warning in case we wanted to cancel.

This is silly, whenever you booked before 2020 you had no idea what the actual crowd level would be. You could guess but it could always change.

But we could book fast passes, we go to Disney 50+ times a year. And usually only do our fastpassss and then go back to the resort to swim and hang out.

I might sound like a brat but no way in hell am I going to go and wait forever for rides in June for our next trip. I’m kinda worried about how early June is going to look.

But any trip that's been booked after the closure has had no expectation of FP+ and should have known that any day Disney could change their rules on capacity. Hell, Disney could announce early entry for resort guests tomorrow. Nothing is ever really guaranteed.

Overall I think you'll wait about the same amount of time, it'll just be spread out differently. If you go 50+ times a year maybe just focus on your favorites if it's busy when you're there.

Before 2020 I could buy an AP and enjoy busy days by knowing that I wasn’t paying a fortune to be there. Before 2020 there were other things to do like go to shows or meet characters or enjoy the Streetmosphere or Main Street characters or see the fireworks. Before 2020 I could guarantee that I could ride a few things with little wait. Disney lured people back by limiting attendance and now they have thrown the gates open without also offering other options to entertain the nearly 50% increase in guests.

That’s exactly what we do, we ride our favorites, but I’ll def “Karen it up” if the parks are packed. There will be a ton of pissed off people. Restaurants, parades and fast passes need to come back. Heck I’d even pay extra for fast pass like we do in Club level.

Since we go so often, we don’t need to wait in line, we will be back. Though, we wouldn’t have booked another trip this year to disney if we knew we would be waiting in long lines. Here’s hoping I’m just over reacting and it won’t be that bad.

We always used fastpass. Now it’s not an option. I’m booked June 5-12 and am very upset also. We booked specifically because of the reduced capacity otherwise we would not have booked at all without FP. Now it’s too late for me to cancel without losing our points.

I don't but this at all. People may have been "lured" in but Disney was not making some big campaign about "Come visit with limited attendance!"

without also offering other options to entertain the nearly 50% increase in guests.

They will come. There was some article about distancing in already running shows was being lessened. If you don't want to deal with uncertainty don't go until the parks are running "normally"

I really think you'll be fine, especially if you're willing to go early in the morning.

Let me ask you something, did you just not consider that capacity would be back up in June?

Right. DVC suspended the Covid rules for canceling reservations without penalty 2 weeks ago. I too am stuck with my reservation because I cannot cancel.

I recently booked a trip for my daughter and her friends as a graduation present knowing that only Epcot was available, but hoping that I could get them in other parks either (i) by using the constantly checking method or (ii) hoping that more tickets would be released. I guessed right on the latter and I for one am happy about it - every change makes some happy and some not.

There were never any guarantees regarding capacity, and I'm happy for those who will now have the opportunity to visit. That said, it really is not unreasonable to expect that the increase in capacity would be offset by bringing back fp's and entertainment, along with greater dining options. The fact that these things, as of right now, haven't been announced to coincide with the increase is rightfully disappointing.
