January will be my first visit to the Universal parks in Florida (Yay!) :teeth: and despite all the reading here (and you guys are fantastic with all your info) I'm still unsure about a few things. I'm taking my two nephews, ages 5 & 8, and we're staying at RPR. Usually on trips like this we do a lot of McDonalds & Pizza Hut just because it's easy and they're familiar with the menu. Does Citywalk have restaurants to keep kids happy? They really aren't fussy but I hate trying to feed a kid in an adult restaurant at adult prices.

And we're doing Seaworld the first day and then three days at Universal. Will I care about not having a rental car? Universal looks very easy to get around but is the shuttle from Universal to Seaworld reliable time-wise? Or the cost of a taxi reasonable?

Last but not least, the boys are dying to go on Spiderman but Back to the Future makes me sick, Star Tours makes me sick, Body Wars makes me sick, RnR makes me sick. Get the unpleasant picture? What are my chances of enjoying this ride? I just hate for the boys to miss out because I'm such a whimp.

Thanks!

There are restaurants that have children's menus.
If you want to go to McDonald's, etc., you will need a car. If not, there is really no need for a car.
The shuttle to Seaworld is realiable, but only runs a few times a day. I don't think a taxi to Seaworld is very expensive.
The cars in Spiderman don't jerk around as much as the ones in Star Tours, Back to the Future, etc. I don't know how sensitive your stomach is, but in Spiderman if you close your eyes, there isn't very much movement. The effects are more visual. Have you tried Bonine for motion sickness?

If you are feeling sick on Spiderman, simply take off the 3-d glasses and look away from the screen at the stationary objects around you. You will be fine. The ride itself is not rough in the least. The restaurants at RPR have kids menus that anyone can order. The portions are large and the prices are good. We also found that you can split most meals very easily for two kids or one kid and a adult (do this especially at the Enchanted Oak Tavern in IOA)

Thanks, you guys!

I'm familiar enough with WDW that I'll be plenty comfortable over there:) and been to Universal in California a couple of times, too. But Universal Florida is a whole new ballgame for us and I guess I'm feeling a little nervous going someplace new with somebody else's young-un's along. We'll have a great time, though:Pinkbounc Thanks again!

You will love Spiderman!!!! Definitely don't miss it. Also I have a very very very picky 3 year old that won't eat much and he loved the kids menu at all the restaurants, and the pricing is great. He would normally eat for less than $6.
