It is my 10th anniversary this March. Since we can't go back to Hawaii like we said we would I'm thinking of surprising my husband with a weekend in Boston and a Bruins game. I saw all of the replies for a hotel close to the harbor. Does anyone have suggestions for a place closer to the Fleet Center. I would like to surprise him with some place really nice if possible. Thanks.

Marriott Long Wharf is also close to the Fleet Center.....as is a hotel between Quincy Market and the Union Oyster House. I can picture it but the name escapes me.....maybe someone else can name it.

We have lots of DISers from the Boston area. I'm not one of them though. Just wanted to bump this back to page one for you.

Im not good with the area(I try to avoid Boston whenever possible), but I think most stuff is all pretty much in walking distance. If not, the T can get you anywhere. We will be at the Bruins game on March 15. If you go to that one, maybe Ill see ya there! ;)

I would recommend either the Marriott Longwharf or the Millenium Hotel closer to Qunicy Marketplace and Fanuil Hall. Both are within walking distances to the Fleet Center.

If your thinking of a very nice Italian dinner, I would suggest Prezza on Fleet St. (I believe). It is excellent. It was rated #1 Italian food in New England.....you must make reservations though.

Have fun and enjoy Boston and your anniversary......

I would stay anywhere around Faneuil Hall...Marriott Longwarf, Boston Harbor Hotel are good choices. You can walk to the Fleet center from these easily...or you can take a cab or T.

I agree with RBuzzotta... why not stay close to Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market, very lively there and lots of fun... We walk to the Fleet all the time from that area.. it is a short jaunt..so the Millenium gets my vote......although Boston Harbor is a good one also.

My fave restaurant in Boston is near the State House and it is called 9 Park Street, and is on Park Street,:) it is owned and operated by a self taught woman chef, Barbara Lynch...a bit pricey but excellent food and service.
