More Grandstand pictures

Thanks for the pictures!

It looks like they have plenty of tables and lounge chairs for the pool. I like that they added a kid's water play area to this pool, but I can just picture my kids running around and colliding with those "pole" horses, especially my two year old. I wonder if the poles are metal or rubber?

That's the first thing I said, and I don't even have kids. What were they thinking when they designed this area? Maybe I am not understanding what I am seeing.

Those are pretty Awesome!! I cant wait! We will be there next Sunday and then back for our Family Reunion in June.

I love the color and all the loungers. That deck looks Huge!! I think this pool will really be a big hit. My boys like to slide but not all the time and with the pool bar and refillable mug area, we will be all set!!

We snuck over there in January, but it was dark and not as cute as it is now.

It's great that SSR will have so many desireable areas for us with Congress Park and now The Grandstand as our first choices. I wont have to stress so much about location because they are all great!

Did anyone else notice the horseshoe shaped landscaping work around the trees?

Great pictures! Thanks for posting. Just a few comments:

I agree with the above poster who mentioned the horses in the water play area. Seems like an accident waiting to happen.

Too bad it's not zero entry. I think it's a great feature for little kids.

Love the color schemes but won't the chairs/umbrellas fade to a pink color in the Florida sun?

Otherwise, I think everything looks wonderful! Happy to own there!

OK folks maybe I'm blind but I raised a few kids and I don't see any danger with the squirting horses. Maybe for the two year old but they can get hurt anywhere, especially where 5 and 6 year olds are running around. Might have to use a little discretion when it's busy.:confused3

Thanks for posting the pivtures! We walked over early in the morning, during our stay, after our morning tea and coffee. Planned on going back with a camera, but just didn't seem to make it back to the Grandstand area before we left. The new pool area is a nice compliment to the other three pools and SSR in general! We were really impressed of the extra theming and effort made by DVC on this pool area. It was well laid out! We were not disappointed in what we saw!

On a side note, we enjoyed meeting you on our last stay at SSR. Nice to run into a fellow Disboard member and Marylander! GO TERPS!

It was fun to meet a Marylander who also enjoys SSR as much as we do.I walked up for coffee every morning and forgot my camera until Dw reminded me on thursday. Maybe we will run into each other again in May at The Grandstand.

Neither do I, but I think this might turn into the saga of our local park playground(also known as why don't you let your toddler play in the "toddler area" instead of on the big play set where he can get knocked down by preschoolers). Don't ask but there was a lawsuit against the city and DH got called as a witness since he was there with my 5yr old(who was not the guilty preschooler).

Thanks for the great pictures! We are heading to SSR in 3 weeks and those pictures made me even more ready to go!! :cool1:

Thanks for sharing your photos! I think it is very nice that SSR has so many pool choices now. The only section I don't think I would want to stay in is the carousel. But all the others are very nice!

Thanks for posting the great pix. I was wondering how large the pool is compared to the quiet pool at Congress Park? Thanks...

Making a guess i would say its as wide as CP and maybe a little longer but you dont have any irregular shape walls. So the sf should be more.

Great pics, thanks for posting!

I love the brighter colors over in the grandstand pool area.

Looking forward to return :cool1:
