**Sarah**

i just recently (sp?) read "Confessions of a back up dancer" and it was awesome but its not all that apprpriate for younger kids because it has alot of "bad words" or however you want to put it

let's see....

"The A-List" and "Girls of Film" ((it's a series)) i forget the author ~ bout rich NYC girl that moves out to LA

"Gossip Girl" Series ~ rich kids and there messed up lives in NYC

"Tell It To Naomi" ~ bout this kid who writes an advice column in the school newspaper (not as stupid as it seems)

They are all young adult books, but they are mostly for older teens cuz of the content ((drugs, sex, language))

"The Rescue"-Nicolase Sparks(sp?)
"A bend in the road"- Same author
"Princesses Don't Sweat"-don't know author but it is a totally Hilarious book...romance and comedy...all teenage stuff though!

oh, i have one to add...

"The Notebook" by Nicolas Sparks. AWESOME book, and a great movie as well!

im not sure if this series was said in your other post ..... but its called Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews!! it's a GREAT series!! Also the chicken soup for the teenage soul books are good too.

The Princess Diaries Series, The Bor Next Door, Boy Meets Girl, All American Girl...all Meg Cabot,
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and The Second Summer of the Sisterhood...forget who wrote them,
The Mates, Dates, and series...also went blank on the author,
and
The books of Georgia Nickolson, Angus Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging, On the Bright Side I Am Now the Girlfriend Of a Sex God, Knocked out By My Nunga-Nungas, and Dancing in My Nuddy Pants...by Louise Rennison.

Oh by the way...we leave for DisneyWorld Friday...woo hoo my 18th time!!!

i dodn't get to read it but read the thing that tells you about it but I stupid me forgot to look at the tital but it is a new book and it is written by the say author who wrote a child named it and it is a bout a kid living in an abusive home it looks really good.

two books i read this summer that go on my all-time favorites list:

the china garden - i normally dont like fantasy, but this is a believable fantasy and its just wonderful. i read the last 180 pages at my family reunion cuz i couldnt put hte book down!

the secret life of bees - more for girls, indirectly about girl power and believing in yourself.

they are both so wonderful and as soon as i am done wit hthe rest of my summer reading, i'm going for the china garden again!

At the moment I'm reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, which is an absolutely amazing book. It's got some amazing philosophical ideas, and really makes you think, but also features lots of interlinking love stories. I know it sounds really heavy, but it's not at all, but and such a good book.

And for when I'm too tired to even think I'm reading The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. It's not quite the literary classic as the first, but a lot of fun, and pretty entertaining.

I like the books in the Mates, Dates series and a series of books called Megan. I also like the confessions of Georgia Nicolson and Harry Potter. Mates, Dates books and confessions of Georgia Nicolson are really funny.

I'm in the middle of Girl With A Pearl Earring right now. It can be slow at some times, but it's enjoyable.

Yeah, all the books in the Georgia Nicolson series are hilarious! I love 'em!!!

Some of the best books I've ever read were the ones we had to study in my AP English class...

The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
and
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

were all some of my favorites.

Utopia is actually a very good book....though not to many other people's liking....if you ever get a chance to read the Trixie Belden Books those are awesome, but nowadays they are impossible to find....came out in the 60s....
