More future planning/Sept '13/half marathon

Now we are considering September of 2013 to participate in the Disney Half-Marathon.

It looks like it is generally held on Labor Day Weekend. Is the week prior to that still considered high season?

Reason for asking would be to access the most rides prior to shut downs for rehab and holiday make-over.

I have looked at HydroGuy's historic dates and what I am seeing is the high season ends in August. Am I correct?

It won't stop us, but I would like to get the most bang for my buck!

We've done a few of these, including last years. Great events, and while we are skipping 2011, we'll be back for 2012.

What surprised us last year was there were a couple of rides shut down for transformation for Halloween, the biggest being HM. I don't know why they don't wait until the Labor Day crowds are gone, but it must be a timing thing to get the rides ready.

And yes, since the first year of the race, when it was a week later, every one since has been Labor Day weekend.

So what do you think about the week prior? Pretty good chance of all rides and shows being operational?

(I know there is no way to know for a fact, and I know I will be happy regardless!)
