We talked about first dance songs at weddings what about these:

What was playing when you were introduced
Song with your mother or father
Song for the Bridal Party
Song for Cutting Cake
Song for Garter & Boquet Toss
Last song of the night

Mine was..

Introduction song...Tunnel of Love by Bruce Springsteen. It was the COOLEST thing. They introduced the Bridal Party to the very beginning, and when the song starts to change before Bruce starts to sing came the "And now for the first time......" It was awesome!!

Song with my dad..Just the Way You Are by Billy Joel.

Bridal Party Song...Friends or something by Elton John (if it were now, I would definatley pick You've Got a Friend In Me:D )

Cake cutting....love theme from St Elmo's Fire

Garter & Boquet Toss...Girls Just Want To Have Fun and I think it was Boys Are Back In Town:confused: When the guy who caught it was putting it on the girl it was the Oh Yeah song from Ferris Bueller LOL

Last song of the night...What A Wonderful World by Louie Armstrong.

Just liked hearing everyone elses first dance songs, thought this might be neat!

It is nice to hear what others have had at their weddings. I have yet to have a wedding so I can not comment on the songs which have yet to be played ;) ;) But I do know that I would really like to have the song "At the Beginning" by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis from the movie Anastasia played at sometime durring the reception.

Introduction song: Theme to St. Elmo's Fire
Song with Dad: Butterfly Kisses
Bridal Party song: Can I have this dance (we did the first dance and bridal party dance together)
Song for cutting the cake: Traditional song bride cuts the cake
Song for throwing bouquet: Girls just wanna have fun
Song for garter: I think we had boys are back in town also
Song while putting on garter: OH Yeah
Last song: Last Dance by Donna Summers

Well, my reception was decidedly unmusical by contrast! I only had a first dance song: "On the Sunny Side of the Street" by Louis Armstrong. The first lines of the lyrics are in my sig. :D

My friend Polly was married last year and her intro song at her reception was "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash. Her first dance was "I Can't Help Falling in Love" sung by Elvis.:smooth:
