Please tell me I am not crazy or alone on this, but I am way more excitied for my upcoming 2nd visit to WDW then I was my first! The first time just seemed to go by so fast that I never really got a chance to let in sink in that I was finally at WDW! I feel like we are going to enjoy so much more this time, and be alittle bit more relaxed about everything!
Anyone else ever felt like this?

lol...yes...before every trip (well, except this one...not kidding myself that this one will br=e relaxing being President's week). I think we're on trip number 14 now and every time I think I'll be able to really relax this time, lol.
This past Nov I actually planned 3 pool only days - and while DH and DD did relax by the pool - I couldn't help but run into Epcot...at least for a few hours (we were staying right there).

I get more excited every trip and I have been 15+ times now. I think each trip I learn to appreciate things more and have more things I have experienced to look forward to.

yes!

We leave in 17 days, and I am way more excited this time. I "know" what to expect this time. ;)

Although we are doing the dining plan with the one TS this time, so that has been different, and we are WAY excited to try new food and eat at Le Cellier again.

Yes I think that is it, I "know" what to expect this time around!! Glad I'm not alone in this!! haha

That's how I feel too. My next trip will be the second trip there that I've planned (and which will be longer than a day or two). I feel like I know more this time going in about what's there and how to tour the parks and get around etc.

I hear that your "problem" is contagious!

You have been smitten by "the Mouse"! :scared1:

I'm sorry to inform you that this disease is progressive! :goodvibes

Yep! I actually went once as a child, but it was 20 years between my first and second trip. As a kid, I obviously was beside myself with excitement! I am counting my second trip as my "first" since it was my first adult trip. Does that make sense? Anyhow, I was excited for our 11/09 trip, but a lot of it was the fact that I couldn't wait to see my kids faces. But both DH and I are beside ourselves with excitement for our next trip because we can't wait to have fun! Love WDW!

I feel the same way. Next month's trip is the second for my dh, ds & I - the second that I've ever planned - and I am totally excited. Like you mentioned, I'm hoping I'll be more relaxed this time since I have a better idea what to expect.

Whats even more amazing is the new stuff you will find and notice each trip...I am on my 10th year in a row and I always seem to find something new...2 trips ago it was all the trails around the tree of life and Kim Possible...last trip we bought the Hidden Mickey books and tried to find as many as we could...I always knew about Hidden Mickeys but never really paid attention...its funny the more I go the less I really care about the rides, well they have taken a back seat anyway...its about the sights, sounds, smells and ambience of being at Disney...I could just walk around Epcot everyday and not ride a thing and be happy...well maybe i need to ride Soarin...:thumbsup2

enjoy the planning and OH every trip goes by fast...Planning makes it seem like you are a part of it alot longer...:)

We have been visiting Disney for some 30 years now. First with our children, now with our grandchildren. Every trip is exciting. I think the more you know about Disney the more you know there are some Magicial Memories waiting to happen.

We also do an adult trip with friend in March every year. It's a completely different experience, we visit at a more slower pace. It's never dull or boring there's always new experiences.

I've yet to see or experience all of Disney, there's always things I haven't done or new things to explore.

Be excited it all part of the Disney Magic.

It's not out of the ordinary to be jazzed the second, third, fourth time, etc.

You got your feet wet with your first trip, but there was more that you wanted to do OR if you have kids, more they can do now.

WDW is big enough to try new things every time.

Have fun!

My girlfriend is a great example of increased excitement with each trip. I took her for her first ever WDW trip for our 1 year dating anniversary, her college graduation and her birthday. We went NYE 08-09. She wasn't really all excited about going but did her best to humor me while I was trying to book and plan things. Everything changed the moment we stepped into MK and she saw Cindy's castle in person. We went back this past May and are booked to go this October. All she does now is talk about the trip, what she can't wait to see, can't wait to try, etc. etc. etc. We are doing a lot of things differently which is keeping the WDW experience fresh. She has become obsessed with our next trip. I'm kind of scared to see how she will be on future trips. :scared1:

I think a lot has to be said about knowing what a WDW vacation is all about. I have talked with her about it and she has told me that while I was planning the first trip, she just thought it was going to be cute but kiddie. Now that she knows what it's like, she has a totally different view.

I just started planning our second trip.
Part of me is nervous because our first trip was PERFECT!!!

I am hoping that this one goes just as smoothly!

I definitely get more excited each time. This June will be our 3rd family trip and my 5th trip and I am more excited than ever! My kids are 3 years older than last time they went. My daughter, who was 3 & 5, on our previous trips barely even remembers it, so this will be like a first for her. All 3 kids are older and ready to do new things. That excites me! I also just feel like the more I know the more excited I get. Plus, there's always something different or new. I'm way more excited than my kids, LOL! I get the benefit of having fun, but also experiencing it through their eyes which is amazing!

Have an absolutely magical trip!

Even just the fact that you now know how to navigate the parks better help each trip! We were fortunate to start going on our honeymoon in 75 when it was just MK, and I have said MANY times to DH how lucky were were to learn one park at a time. First trips are now so overwhelming for guests, the second one takes away some of that learning curve!:goodvibes

It's funny, I don't remember much about when I went as a kid. I remember we went, I remember riding BTMRR with my grandma, I even remember things that my mom doesn't. I have these memories in my head, but can't put them together with what I'm seeing when we are there now.

The kid trips and the adult trips are completely different. I'm not getting these jumbled up in my head...lol.

Each trip gets better and better. Each trip we do more and try more and it's better than the last. It's funny, I was having a midnight planning session last night with my DH (we are surprising the kids this time so everything is after they are asleep!), and said, you know, that first trip we didn't know anything. I couldn't remember where I saw the things when I was a kid, but I felt like we did so much! Then it hit me...my oldest DS was only 42 inches and couldn't ride the big rides!! :rotfl2: Well, that's why we didn't have to wait in all those ride lines...lol!

We've done 44 trips so far and each trip gets better and more exciting than the last. We're in our early 60's and we get just as giddy as a child upon entering the property...first glimpse of the monorail track, the welcome arch and then the drive up to the resort. When they say "welcome home" we feel they really mean it and just stand there and smile.....we hit the room and change into our suits....fill the cooler with some beer and wine and head to the pool...finally....we're here....ahhhhhh Enjoy your stay and let the memories begin....

I am right there with you. We went on our first Disney trip this past October. I figured we'd probably never make it back before Fantasyland was done...even though I missed Disney the moment we left. I was afraid to admit that to DH. Then, I told DH I'd gotten a pin code via email and he said, "well, we should go again then". I was floored. I knew he enjoyed it, but I didn't realize he'd fallen in love with Disney as much as I did.

Needless to say, as soon as he said that, I started pricing out vacations...and when I found a timeframe that worked for us, I booked it!! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. There's so much we want to do that we didn't get to on our last vacation.

And we're already discussing our 2012 vacation to boot!! I think whomever said that the Mouse disease was progressive is right. :rotfl:
