More discounts at POP or ASMO lately?

DH, DD11, DD2 and I will be going in Sept (hopefully). We have always stayed at AS (AS MU 2X and ASMO 3X). DH is a creature of habit and wants to stay loyal to the AS, but I am likeing the pictures, food court, and location of POP (as described on the DIS). DH will ultimately make the final decision, as I am just content that he lets me "drag" him to WDW once/year. I think the decor of ASMo is best for DD2, and POP for DD11. What will probably be one of the deciding factors is cost. If POP offers a discount and ASMo doesn't, or vice versa, that will help sway us one way or the other. The discount would probably have to be 100+ to have any real impact for DH. If there is a decent discount at ASMu and not POP or Movies, we will stay at the Music. Since POP opened, has there been more discounts at AS Movies, or at POP? I know from experience that before POP opened, discounts at AS Movies were much more limited than ASSp or Mu. Is POP so much better in any way?

I found that when pop first opened, discounts were harder to get. But it seems like lately they have been just as easy to get as ASM or Sports (for slower times of the year). Movies still seems to be the hardest to get becasue people seem to like the theming best. I don't know what you'lll find come Sept. (last year there weren't any discounts except packages) but for our trip in a couple of weeks, we got the AP rate at pop, for about a $40 savings/night. Pop and the AS are the same in every way (room size, layout, etc.) Only the theming is different. But the big thing pop has going for it is it is newer. Things might look a little sharper.

But basically, you'll just have to wait it out and see if discounts become available and what you can get. If discounts are released, they should be the same amount of $$$ for all AS and pop, as the pricing is the same for all. HTH

We've stayed at the All Star Movies three times - its my youngest DDs favorite place to stay!!! When we stayed at the GF, she kept asking to go to the Movies - she loves the 101 Dalmations section!

This upcoming trip, we're trying Pop Century! The pictures look so nice, and we've reserved the 60s preferred section! Allison can't wait to see Mowgli and Baloo!!!

We've always enjoyed our stays at the Movies (we've really had a great time at all the resorts we've stayed at!) I hope to add Pop Century to our list of favorites!!!
