More details about 3 new Carsland rides?

I'm planning our trip in September. Me, DH, DD6. And we'll be traveling with my BIL and his two boys, ages 9 and 11. I realize that I know absolutely nothing about the 3 new Carsland rides, which I should know before planning our days.

A couple of things...

1) I get motion sick. I will not go on Startours or any "spinning" rides like the Teacups. I'm fine with roller coasters.

2) Our DD6 does not like roller coasters. The Matterhorn is the only one she's tried and she does not want to go on it again. But she is fine with "spinning" rides and goes on them with my DH. And she is not scared of dark rides or scary things. She just doesn't like to go fast.

So my question is...what are the 3 new rides like? Will my DD6 be scared on RSR? Will I get motion sick on any of them?

Thanks!

RSR is not a roller coaster nor does it spin. It starts out sort of like a dark ride, going through different scenes from the movie. Then you go really fast along a track. It is very smooth.

Mater's doesn't really spin, it is more of a figure eight while you swing back and forth. My husband cannot spin, but he enjoyed Mater.

We did not ride the Flying Tires, but it is more like bumper cars/hover craft.

We were there last week. My DD 7 sounds a lot like yours. She does not like anything fast. She refuses to go on any of the "mountains", test track at WDW, she won't even go on the little coaster in Toon Town (after trying it once). We really thought she would be fine with Racers as she loves motion like Star Tours. We were able to get her on the ride (told her it was like autopia not test track), but she freaked out as soon as the ride got to the "race" section. She has said that she will never go on it again. I think it was probably extra bad for her because she was in the "driver's seat" so when the car went through the banked turn she was the one closest to the inside of the curve/road.

The ride doesn't look too fast from the line so you can probably get your daughter on it, she may just be like mine and vow to never go on it again.

She was fine with all the other rides in CL. My husband does not like spinning and he was fine with Maters, but you do get a bit dizzy.

Thank you! I think we will all give RSR a try, but I will skip Maters because I think it will make me sick. Thanks so much!

The good news is that you can see the entire ride of Mater's from the line, so you will know what you're in for. I would say it's nowhere near as 'spinny' as the teacups, but you do get whipped around a little. It's sort of like Toy Story Midway Mania when your car whips from one scene to another. I will say that just listening to Mater give the safety directions in Spanish was worth hanging around!

The flying tires are like round bumper cars, but you do have to be fairly coordinated to make them go anywhere. No spinning and not much speed.

RSR is as described above - the downside for your DD is that you can't really see any of the ride from outside (I know that used to give my DS issues). If you liked the movie I would definitely say go for it - it's an amazing ride.

Best wishes and have fun!!
