When does the DDE Card go into effect, at purchase or first use? How many people in your group can get the 20% discount?
Can you split the check and still use the discount? :wizard:

The card become valid when you order it. It is good for 1 year, plus a few weeks due to long delivery time. For example, I ordered mine 2/17/05 and it is valid until 3/31/06.
It is good for up to 10 people in your party.
Can not split the check and still use the discount. It must be all on 1 check.
If you have a spouse, they can get their name on a second card.

I am fairly new to this board and I would love to get some more infon on the DDE card. I also would love to know how it works and where I can purchase it. We are planning a vacation for July and this might help.

I just received my DDE cards in the mail, and the information included states "Save 20% on all food and beverages for parties up to 6 people at participating Resort and Theme Park restaurants and lounges."

I was surprised to see this, but it's in 2 differents places and the "6 people" part is in bold. :confused3

I'm a little disappointed because we're going to have 8 people in our party, 6 adults and 2 children. Hope they let us pick which 6 people get the discount!!

This was the old way. When it was for Florida residents only, it was for up to 6 people. When they changed it to include AP holders, it became valid for up to 10 people.

Thanks Athena!!

I did notice that on the back of the cards, they still require us to show a Florida ID, which we do not have to have now... So, obviously this stuff is outdated.

Yeah, it doesn't seem as if they had time to change the wording etc, before the new plan went into place.

You must be a Florida resident or an AP holder. It can only be purchased over the phone but they will fax or e-mail a temporary letter to use in place of the card.

Actually you can go to the passholder website and print the downloadable form, which says Passholder DDE Application. Once you fill it out it can be mailed w/check, or faxed with cc. I printed the form the other day to see what questions it asked. There is also another similar form for Fl residents to use which can be downloaded on the Fl site.
