This is so frustrating anymore.

I seem to have my cable line situation fixed after 3 months

For the past few days or so, my computer won't connect to my e-mail account only. I can get on the Internet, but every time I check my e-mail, it says the connection has failed. This goes on for a while and then all of a sudden, it comes back up.

Comcast is just getting too big I think.

Mine has done the same thing too! I have Charter cable for the computer and TV. Most of the time it's down somewhere when that happens. Sometimes my mail will work and my internet won't. I give up calling....I just wait and see if it comes back on....90% of the time it does. But yes, it is frustrating!!
Unfortunately I can say you're not alone!;)

No, I get no spams at all. I'm very careful about my e-mail address. I have a few pictures in my drafts folder that someone sent, but only about 6 or so.

*sigh*

It's working right now. Give it a few minutes :teeth:

Is it working now?? It's odd that I have had the same problem with Outlook Express! Thanks to Dan, I know what to do!! :jumping1:

It's working right now, AQ. I've forgotten my password to comcast.net  so I can't get in there. I'm probably going to have to go the same way as Wendy and just wait it out when it doesn't work.

I had the same problem with verizon....couldn't remember the password!! I called verizon and they reset it for me. Could you call comcast and see if they can reset it for you?? Seeing how these problems all seem to be uploading your email into your OE box, it sounds more like the problem is with that program!! ::yes::

I just had this same problem again just NOW!! Fixed it but still.....this is getting annoying!:earseek:

If you are checking Comcast email through Outlook Express and gettong an error, it usually means that the server (Comcast's) is down at the moment. Early on we had a lot of trouble, and the option to check the web version on Comcast's website didn't exist. I noticed that yesterday evening and this morning the server was unresponsive. If you need to get your messages, go to www.comcast.net, click the email button on the left and log in with your username (email without the @comcast.net) and your password.
