Okay, after reading some of the thoughts/reviews of the BBB dresses, DD and I decided (I ended up telling her due to the fact I was worried I needed to call ahead for the dress she wanted) that we would buy a better quality, more comfortable dress on etsy (we will be there in September, so a hot, itchy dress would be miserable!!!.

So, my questions are this: DD chose a very pretty Elsa dress. Do they have accessories at BBB for Elsa, like wands/tiaras/long braided hair, anything? I told DD she could pick out some accessories which made her just as happy as picking out a dress! I just want to be prepared if there aren't any accessories at BBB for Elsa, having a Plan B.

I have a few questions. I haven't been able to find recent pics of the dresses that are available, even doing lots of searching, so if anyone has pics, please post them here!!!

My questions are, does BBB tend to have most dresses in most sizes available? We are surprising DD with being able to do the entire package, as usually we buy her a dress beforehand that I've picked out and she has always asked to be able to do it "all." This will surely be her last time wanting to come have this done, so we wanted to splurge.......but what I'm afraid of happening is getting there, telling her she gets to pick and there being nothing she truly loves in her size!

What accessories come with the big package?

How does the bigger package work? Do they change into the dress first, then hair/nails or hair/nails first and then change?

They should have plenty of sizes available. Definitely have her change into the dress first. The photo pass photogs will take pictures during the whole makeover process and during her big reveal and then you'll move to the studio for formal portraits. The pictures during the makeover are just adorable though.

Everyone changes first. Then when the makeover is done...well you know.

There are several requests on the long BBB thread for recent pictures. My daughter has BBB on May 27th. I will try to take some.

Hi!

I went in February and took a bunch of pictures of all the dresses that were available at the time (no Anna or Elsa when I was there, but I believe BBB has some now).

As for dress sizes - if she needs a larger size (10 or larger), I would call BBB a couple of weeks in advance and see what the situation is. I know that there are sometimes limited quantities of the larger sizes. However, if you call and they know you are looking for a particular dress in a particular size, they can hold it for you (not sure how far in advance you can request - a couple of days at least).

The procedure is:

1) Check in at desk
2) Pick out dress and accessories (usually includes wand, crown and I think shoes? Not 100% about the shoes) - the dress and accessories do not have to match. When my daughter got the tiana dress, she picked out a tinkerbell head crown and tiana wand, and belle shoes.
3) They take you back to a dressing room where you can change
4) Once you are ready, they call your name again, and you go into the salon with your FGIT. (There are photopass photographers taking lots of pictures)
5) Once the makeover is complete, you can have pictures taken in Sir Mickey's (for the castle location - not sure where the photo location is at DTD).

Thanks for the info!!! I think she will be a size 8 when we go, so IDK what to do as far as making sure they have sizes. This is a total surprise for her...she knows about going but not about picking out the dress, etc., which will be HUGE to her!

I'm guessing she will choose Jasmine, Elsa or Rapunzel, but who knows!

When we were there in February they did not have any Elsa/Anna specific accessories (nor were there any in any of the stores). However, this was when things were sold out everywhere. The situation will probably continue to change as the summer goes along, so hopefully someone going this summer can update.

I have found that the supply of accessories/wands/shoes can be very spotty. They typically have snow white/Cinderella/Aurora/Belle accessories in pretty good supply, but Tinkerbell/Tiana/Rapunzel, etc... stuff can be lacking. However, if there are Elsa things to be had, BBB gets them first, and you can only buy them there if you have an appointment. I would call them a few weeks before you are going, and see what they have. Every time I have contacted them, they have been super helpful.
