I just got the funniest call from my husband at work. He sounded as though he had something really urgent to ask me. "Have you heard of the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique?" I told him I had, but I thought it was pretty expensive. Then he said, "I don't care. The girls HAVE to do this. They'll love it!"

Apparently, one of his co-workers said his DD5 still talks about her visit last year, so DH doesn't want our DDs to miss out. I love this man!

I know DD4 (5 at time of trip) will love, love, LOVE this! But we also have DD who will be 2 weeks shy of her 3rd birthday when we're there. The BBB web site says it's for ages 3 and up. What should I do? :confused3 I'm not sure she'd sit there for the hair-styling anyway. I may make appointments for both of them, but cancel DD2s if she's not better about haircuts by then (Feb. 2008). Does anyone know if I can just buy an extra crown so she can match her sister? I don't want her to feel totally left out.

I'd also love to hear about prices and see more pics, if anyone feels comfortable posting them! :)

Hair, make-up and nails is $49.95. My DD8 did it last year and LOVED it! We are doing it again next month. WDWinfo.com has all the prices and types listed. It's a blast.

I don't know about BBB in the MK, but my daughter did the one at DTD last week and I cannot even tell you how much she loved it! I would suggest bringing a dress from home. I bought one from the DIsney store several months ago and hit it until right before her appointment. She was SO excited. It also saved me $25 and she got to wear a gown without the most expensive package.
As far as your 2 yr old, the shop at DTD is in the middle of the princess area at the World of Disney. You can buy any kind of princess accessory you can think of right outside BBB.

Do it, they'll LOVE it! :yay:

I made my older DD an 8 a.m. appointment before our Cindy's Table breakfast at 9 a.m. on our last day at MK. I know we'll be pushing it a bit time-wise, but I figure they can't be much behind schedule for the first appointment of the day. Now the only hard part will be keeping it a secret! And dragging the kids and DH out of bed so early after 5 days of Disney. :rotfl:

OP yes, you can buy an extra crown for your younger dd. And I think that since she will be just 2 weeks shy of her 3rd bday that they will most probably take her in the BBB too.

I read within 30 days of 3rd birthday they will take.
A previous thread poster had asked.

Thanks for the info! We'll be at BBB on Feb. 13, and DD's 3rd is March 3. This does make my decision harder, though. The last time we got her hair cut, she wouldn't sit in the chair by herself. She needs another trim, so I think I'll wait and see how that goes before I decide whether to make her a BBB appointment. I have a feeling I want this more than she will. :rotfl:

Your husband sounds wonderful! My husband was the same way! It was rather expensive for both girls but my husband and I wanted to do this for them.. a once in a lifetime thing......We just got back from our WDW vacation and the BBB experience was truly magical. I have to think that your little one may be so in awe of the fairy godmothers and the 'castle-like' mirrors...etc she may just love it!

Everyone has to decide what it best for the child and their budget... so I can see myself (next trip) taking a dress along, going with the smaller package... but this time I will never regret paying for the Castle package. The girls got to go in and pick out their dresses, shoes, crowns, nail polish colors, hair etc. I dressed them in the dressing room there and then the FGIT took over and worked their magic.

The look on the girls' faces when they were turned around to face the mirror was priceless. If I can figure out how to put pics on here I will post some of the girls... they are truly wonderful!

Hope it is for you as well! Good Luck.

Yay! We just got home from the hair salon where DD2 climbed in the chair and sat all by herself like such a big girl! :cool1: Our last 2 appointments, she sat in my lap, clutching me for dear life. :lmao: Maybe the change had something to do with the ice cream bribe I offered for sitting like a "big girl." :rolleyes1

Still, I'm taking this as a sign to get her a BBB appointment when DD5 goes in Feb. Her hair is cut in a curly chin-length bob, but from the photos I've seen, they'll be able to do something with it.

I wasn't going to do the BBB as, quite frankly, I am a bit frugal. But, my DD7 saw the commercial for it in our resort and was SO excited, we decided to do it. She has less than chin length hair, so the woman really had to work hard to get it on top of her head. The volume of product put on her head made me afraid of open flames!!
But, to answer your questions, one very nice Fairy Godmother worked on her hair, while a second very silly and friendly and in character Fairy Godmother (Amie) did her make-up while completley engaging her in spirited conversation of what my DD had done so far, who she had seen etc. She was a make-believe gossip and my DD was enchanted. She didn't even notice how much her head was being yanked in order to get it on top of her head.
In a nearby chair, there was a little girl who I would have guessed as barely 2..but perhaps she was closer to 3. Her distracting Fairy GodMother had a I spy Princess Book that the two were pouring over thick as thieves. So, it appears that the make-up/nails person is also in charge of keeping the little girls full of pixie dust and cheer.
So, might work for your little one!! Have fun!!
