It seems since the addidtion of the new room only code for 4/20 - 5/21 seem to have had a good effect on the availability of AP rates. I Called this morning and was able to change my ressie around for 4/15 - 4/22 and get what we have been trying for with the AP rate. CM told me that many who booked AP without actually buying AP have dropped those res and changed to the new room only code instead. This has opened up some dates. If you were unable to find what you wanted originally it may be worth checking again. I hope it works out for others as well! :thumbsup2

Do you know if the AP site is the exact same site the CM's look at if I called versus looking online? Nothing new has opened up for my dates (after April 20) since the day AP rates were released. I've been checking online every morning and then at different times during the day/night too.

not sure...Cm told me that there have been lots of changes ressies my dates start 4/15 - 4/22 folks may be moving out of my range to the later dates because of the new code. We have been pretty lucky! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

thats good news-ive been trying for april 25 and 26th....we already have ap rates for 19-25, nothing yet but at least theres some hope!! thanks for the info

I totally agree with this, because we're one of those that had booked the AP rate and were holding off buying the AP in case a room-only code came out. I just updated my signature, which used to say AP rate, and now I'm happy to say reflects yesterday's announced room-only code (which ironically was the exact same room rate as the AP rate for May gardenview Poly). Keep tryin' you all, sending you some pixie dust that it works out!:wizard:

It is actually working out well for many. Those who did not actually want the AP and those who have the AP and are now able to get the location they wanted with the AP rate.

Us too! I had booked w/the AP rate, but hadn't actually bought the AP yet, giving myself a little bit more time just incase. Turns out the AP cost + AP room rate was within $20 of the general public room rate with an 8 day hopper. BUT I can add dining to thegeneral public one and was told that it was not available w/the AP rate.

So, AXR code with DDP is what we're doing!

You could actually add the dining to the AP rate too. We are doing 8 nights at YC with dining in April. :cool1:

But it works wfor us because we are going back in the fall and we will try to sneak spring trip in before the passes expire! ;)

The CM I had on the phone tried, but said it wasn't available? I wasn't convinced that she was sure what she was doing to be honest - she told me she kept trying to add dining to my existing AP reservation but the price kept jumping up to rack rate?? It didn't matter though - the price difference was only about $20.00 and I really don't think we'll be back again before the year is up - we've been averaging 2x/year up to now, but I'm going to be starting a teaching job in the fall so my off-peak vacations are officially over :sad2:

I think you are right about CM not knowing what she was doing. As it has been explained to me it can be added anytime up to five days befroe arrial to any room a AP holder has. It is just a code. Not a limited number. Sometimes it is amazing how much some CMs don't know.
Sorry to hear aobut the end of off peak travel. October and November are my favorit:thumbsup2 e. Whe I left teaching after having kids.... off peak was a definite bonus!
