Morning all,

P.J. -- That is a perfect picture for Monday morning.

Kids wouldn't get out of bed this morning. Minor meltdown from Hannah who couldn't find a certain piece of clothing which then we found stuffed in chair in the family. How it got there who knows. Nicholas knee hurts this morning but I thought he would complain more. He must be liking school so far.:lmao:

Celery -- STOP posting that picture....:scared1: I know how you feel, I was nervous to went I met Twinkie. She looks kind of like that picture , you could be twins Celery....:lmao:

Pumba -- my list is small, t-shirts, shorts, undies for everyone X7 days. And a Princess dress or two for Hannah. Seems easy enough. And rain ponchos. See easy. We are still wearing said clothes so I can't pack yet....

Babynurse -- when P.J said her face was red I thought maybe you made her paint it or something since it was the Reds playing....:rotfl:

Sandy-- I am with you have so much to do I don't know where to start. Maybe I should make a list for that...

see you guys........when a person AGES.......we need more support system stuff.....hahaha.....
A good item to pack too is a trash bag to put the dirty stuff in it......we always pack one or two and it keeps the yuck away from the inside of our suitcase and our clean items.....or items we want to take home......we also put our shoes one at a time into a smaller bag too......I need four of my meds....one is an eye drop stuff so I have to have that in a quart size ziplock bag with my other meds.for carryon..then in our luggage we put the other gucky stuff in another ziplock bag like our sunscreen.....we have more body to cover so we get the giant economy size.....all our personal items in ziplocks too....we still have the first rain gear from AK when they first opened...never used it...it was a mickey with a safari hat on......we still have the yellow ones from the other parks too....heck you forget and then go an get one when the weather looks like rain and then the rain stops when you are in an attraction......weird but it is like an insurance item..

we do have to have a big enough carryon to bring back the kids some Disney stuff.......we have four grandkids and they like to have a gift once in a while....and then the rug rats that I care for like some stuff....and then I have two special great nieces and nephews that I ALWAYS get something for.....I call them my princess and prince......I have 15 nieces and nephews and then 48 great neices and nephews....one set of triplets and two sets of twins and then the rest are singles.....:lmao:

Babynurse -- when P.J said her face was red I thought maybe you made her paint it or something since it was the Reds playing....:rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao:

I'm not THAT crazy!!

p.s. Twink: you should have had the Twinkies paint their faces orange!!!

Good morning all!

Our Mother's Day Out Preschool started back today. Oiy the crying! :scared1: It's definitely not too quiet around here now! :rotfl:

Hi, all! I haven't been lurking--just gonna be a VERY part-timer here. Sorry for being away so long.

Loooong story & I can tell you good folks would listen if I only had time to type it all. Short version: Brilliant son enters new school in 5th grade. New to the gifted program. He's convinced I'm ruining his life. In addition, trying to get Tupperware business to the point where it'll make some money, doing some freelance writing assignments, volunteering at new school, coaching 4th & 8th graders at old school so they can do well on the FL standardized writing exam... It goes on.

THANK YOU ALL for your warm welcome!

I won't dish any dirt on CHeryl unless she says anything about me that she shouldn't at the meet. :)

I live in Palm Beach County FL, so near the Atlantic coast.

And cabychek is just a combination of my name and my husband's. When I get a spare second maybe I'll come up with something more clever for this board...

Oh, and did I mention WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD THURSDAY MORNING!!!!!!!!1:woohoo: :cheer2:

Gotta fly. Too much on my plate.

Take care & happy travels to those of you going to the meet with Moo.

Hugs,
Cheryl:hippie:

Celery and Twinkie- I just took my measurements. I'll only share the smallest part of my waist is 34"!!! Which is sort of normal until you measure just 6 inches below that point. :scared: The top measurement is impressive, I'd say.

Welcome Cabychek!!!! The more the merrier!

It's too humid in Florida. Can you people DO something about those lovebugs? I think I inhaled one last year. They like my hairspray or something. That is one thing Disneyland has over Florida. Well, two. The climate and the no-love bugs!

Pumba -- I guess I do have just a bit more packing but most things I still am using and will have to be last minute. Plus I will have lots of extra space to bring back stuff since I don't have to pack jeans and sweaters. Plus I won't have hubby's clothes either.....

Celery--forgot to tell you what word wall words are they are high-frequency words like: all, and, because, there, this, .... they have to know how to spell and read them of course.

Dre-- I saw a lot of kids crying at school this morning too. Junior Kindergarden started this morning. They look so little, of course they are 4 years old. Some might even be 3 if there birthday is on this side of Dec.

Hi cabychek :wave2:

Good morning all!

Our Mother's Day Out Preschool started back today. Oiy the crying! :scared1: It's definitely not too quiet around here now! :rotfl:

YEah Dre is around!! :thumbsup2

Nab word walls are so yesterday!! :rotfl2: (I know we used them last year, this year the teachers are doing a different program - we get the "sight" words and then put them on the chalk board, and get a new set next week?? :confused3 I think the word wall overwhelmed the teachers, not all of them kept it up well!! How about a "word walk"? One first grade teacher gives them paper and pencil and has them hunt for words that begin with ____ or has a ___ sound!!

Well, I'm debating on starting a pre trip report!! I'm nuts, and nutty things keep happening... I was thinking of posting it on celerey's trip report... but... ok, fine, I'm lazy!! :cool2:

Back to that packing list... I think I'll tell dd to start packing this weekend "just in case" :rotfl2: I know I'm torturing her - I'm taking her to DISNEY!! :rotfl2:

Okey Dokey, UM--let me know the next time you'll be here & I'll get right on that.

:rotfl2:

Cheryl:hippie:

Wanted to add a  to CabyCheryl -

I also need a name change - I've never felt like an "eeyore"... there's got to be a better name!! for me anyway!

How would DisneyHippie sound??? Moo--especially interested in your opinion.
xoxo
C:hippie:

Hey, Cheryl!!! Glad you stopped by to provide a little intro. I won't dish the dirt if you won't ;)

MOO HOO on only having 4 days to Disney!

I'm having a late lunch so I thought I'd pop in for a few.

We had a great visit with my DD. She and Cash started heading back to NC around 6:00 this morning. We had a nice mother/daughter chat really late last night. So I hope she got enough rest. It was a talk that she initiated, so I didn't want to tell her she ought to get to bed :)

Glad to hear you had a nice visit & a nice chat. Sorry they had to leave so soon, but better than not at all, I'm sure.

How long til YOU're at DW???

xoxo
Me:hippie:

Sandy -- you are right. The words now are on a piece of paper sent home to study nightly. I keep forgetting she is in grade 2 now and not 1. "sight" words is the correct term I just keep calling it word wall.

Moo-- Sorry your dd is headed back to school. You do have to look forward to meeting us in less them two weeks.

Cabychek-- lucky you get to go sooner.

I have been actually being good today and cleaning my house. The new vacuum must have did it too me. :rotfl:

I should be out looking for a lime green t-shirt. Doubt I will find one now.....

I got mine at walmart.......it was a pea green color.......but I always keep a lime green ribbon on my fanny pack which is in the front of the big protrusion called my BELLY......this will be great.......:cool1:

one of the lawyers here who is losing weight just brought me a shirt -
and it's lime green!
but the sleeves are too short. :(
it has little cap sleeves, but I hate my arms.

The kid beat me to it again today.
Kid? What kid? I see no kid here. :snooty:

Why is this my fault? I didn't make the sun shine.:confused3
There is some stupid comment in here about how you always make the sun shine for me or some such nonsense but I can't quite word it. Someone else can take this one.

Well, the trollops had fun, but as for PJ....(SHE was the one who begged ME to take her, so it's not my fault!)
I had fun AND I learned stuff. Quiz me!

My face isn't red at all...just sayin'
Brat.

Goog Mornin Sunshines - looks like a good plan PJ - but you forgot you'll have to multiply that by 10 - 1st graders are exhausting - when they get fidgety, I just make them get up and do some exercises!! (shake those sillies out!! *g they are a joy tho!!)
One of the beauties of Montessori....they hardly ever have to sit still. The lessons went well today. :thumbsup2

I had this dream about teaching last night. I'm having career issues right now and trying to decide what I want to do - so in my dream I went back and talked to my high school chemistry teacher. She and I were really close. I even used her to observe when I was taking some education coourses in college. In my dream, she encouraged me to consider teaching again. I was concerned about the money I'd be losing though -
and then I was like "But I know someone who teaches Montessori. I wonder if she knows how much I'd make."
hehehehehe.
So PJ, I had a dream about you!
:lmao:
The answer is not much. If you ever want to have an intelligent conversation on Montessori education I would be more than happy to assist you in your career change! ;)

Morning all,

P.J. -- That is a perfect picture for Monday morning.
Glad you approve. Since I do post the pictures just for you and all.

Babynurse -- when P.J said her face was red I thought maybe you made her paint it or something since it was the Reds playing....:rotfl:
I wouldn't put it past her. :sad2:

:lmao: :lmao:

I'm not THAT crazy!!

:rolleyes1

School went well today with the exception of a first grader trapping himself in a bathroom stall and refusing to come out. The little guy had an accident and he was embarassed to tell anyone. His mom hadn't sent his extra clothes in yet either so he had to wear someone else's and that made him all pouty.

I have to go to class now even though I'm like the tiredest person alive for no good reason. Then I think I'm going to go home for a few minutes to get a couple of things. So there's a play by play of my evening for all the stalkers out there.

:wave2:
