Mee too, probably a lot more than you this week. This job is taking it out of me!

RE: Dinner

I should be able to make that no problem (fingers crossed)! Except, what time is dinner?

moo - don't worry about adding alli to the dinner reservation. She's not going to the party. She doesn't enjoy it as much as I do and she doesn't want me wasting money on it when I'm already paying for everything else. She's going to explore saratoga springs instead and hang out at the pool - maybe even go over to downtown disney for awhile.

I'd love it if Marita would come wiht us, but I won't hold my breath.

Marita - We have an early dinner reservation - 4:10 at the Plaza restaurant. Things were pretty booked up when I made it due to free dining. They start letting people into the MK for MNSSHP at around 4:00, but it doesn't officially start until 7:00.

Thanks for the info, Moo. You think they'd let me break the 8 hours in the office rule for that day and leave at 3pm? After having put in 50 plus hours a week for the past few months? (no overtime) LOL.

I've been researching flights this morning, DH wants shortest flight, which is an extra 100+ a person, ugh! Now to look at car rentals and hotels. Can't make any definite plans yet, though, just exploring...

If you got to work at 7 and didn't take a lunch, it'd be 8 hours.
:rotfl::lmao:

Great idea! Sleep on my couch the night before and wake me up at 5 am, that should work!!!!!!!!!!

Well, so much for making any plans for my california trip. Just talked to DS, he has to outprocess the week after Friday graduation, and has no idea when. DD needs to be back to work on Monday. Won't know anything till much closer in. GRRRRRRR! It just might turn out to be a 3 day trip to nowheresville, CA.

Marita - Let your daughter go back to work and you and hubby can stay and play at DL!

BTW, I totally agree with your hubby's preference on taking the shortest flight.

Can't you just take a couple hours of vacation time off to leave work early or do you have to take a full day off (you could join us ALL day)??!

Rob - You have to watch your comma usage when WT is lurking about ;)

Did somebody say commas???:thumbsup2

I was supposed to work, but I got canceled again!!! How am I ever gonna get a paycheck? oy vey!

At least I get to go to church with the family. Have a great Sunday!

Hmmm strange goings on here!!

Marita dont let the negativity invade your vacation!! Just go! (after all, I cant go, so I can live vicariously through you!! ;) )

Moo the weather is a promising to sneak up towards 90!! Can you imagine?? Its been down in the 50's at night! FIFTIES!! :woohoo: Awesome sleeping weather for August!!

Got back from my mom's - mom and dad didnt deal well with the 3 12 year olds~ oh well... now we're packing dd off to camp - until Friday - this camp makes the parents get their kids at 7pm FRIDAY then stay for a HUGE program - its a 2 hour drive - so for another couple hundred bucks you and your family can sleep over and eat a few meals! Dont they get the concept - drop off and pick up? :confused3 This Bible Camp wants to spread the joy to the parents! :confused3

DH still doesnt have a job. prayers.

DS has to get an apartment for college, and he's still going to do that triatholon. Nerve wracking moments!

Sandy-- Our priest talked about the Bachelorette in his sermon today, all about Jillian going to the fantasy suite with 4 different guys.:rotfl: And that he wanted to write a letter to her....and say sex is sacred thing and it shouldn't be a factor in picking a man. :lmao:

I also thougth about Twinkie today because the gospel was about Moses and manna in the desert. Hope your morning sickness is going away.

Moo-- we had an article in the paper saying this is the coldest July in 17 years. We went to the drive in last night and it was nice and cool but we got eatten my misquotes again. Humid today though.

We are all tired because it was a dusk to dawn drive in and only got home at 4:00 and got up for church this morning. Watched Ice Age 2, Harry Potter, and Taking of Pelham of 123. It started to drizzle though the last one but it was ok.

Didn't make it too Niagara Falls the traffic was crazy so we stayed home and shopped. Finally got my vanity and mirror for the washroom. Now all we need is a mantel for the fireplace.

Moo, I cant take vacation by the hour. I'm sure I could probably leave early that day (probably being the operative word), but taking the whole day off sounds even better. :goodvibes I'm hating life right now...

My washer is acting up. The selector for soil level keeps flickering through all the levels, and try as you might, you can't select one. SO I hit start and hope things come out in one piece.

Sandy, I hit on the Noah thread by mistake today, but I remembered your comments, so I read most of the whole thing this afternoon. :littleangel:
:grouphug: for DH finding a job. The paper Friday said the recession is over, but we might not feel it yet. No Kidding!!!

NAB, yay on getting close on the basement! :thumbsup2

Current trip itenerary looks like this: FLy out early Thursday, get to Santa Barbara early afternoon, rent a car and drive an hour to Santa Maria. Then dinner with DS. Friday is graduation and probably dinner after that. Maybe wine country tour on the weekend and/or help DS pack his Uhaul, although he thinks he wont rent it till the last minute cause it osts money. He has buddies to help him pack. So unsure what to do. Sunday DD leaves to go home, and DH and I drive down 3/5 hours to DL. Off-site hotel across the street from DL. Spend Monday and Tuesday there, then leave from LA to go home on Wednesday. I'll probably take Thursday and Friday off work as well.
Dinner probably Monday night at Blue Bayou, I'm planning on surf and turf. No park hours are posted yet, so I'm not sure about anything. I checked out distance to SF from Santa Maria, but its over 4 hours north, so no go. I asked DH if he had any interest in visiting LV while we are out that way, but no, he doesnt . Neither do I really, not a great interest. It would be fun to check out the hotels, but that's about it.
I finally made a banana nut bread that didnt crumble to pieces when I cut it last night LOL. I think the secrect is to actually measure how much banana you put in. Mind you, the crumble bread was Delicious, but not very appetizing to look at. Haven't actually tasted the non-crumbly version yet, but I packed 3 slices in a ziplock to take to work tomorrow. Which I rarely end up actually eating, LOL
Gotta go get laundry out of the washer :laundy:

I finished a work report I started Tuesday night (NIGHT) this afternoon to get it out of the way. I am seriously contemplating retirement and getting a job at Walmart, except there are no jobs, LOL!

bbn - Sorry you're not getting in many hours  Sounds kind of like "when it rains, it pours" in the baby business. Full moon is coming up though! Maybe that'll make things busier ;)

Sandy - It's only looking like low 80s are forecast for here this week. At least we're not spending a fortune for electricity running the AC this summer! Sending prayers for your hubby's job situation.

Nabbie - That's too bad that the traffic was so heavy that you couldn't go camping, but progress on basement stuff is a good thing!!! I've read a similar article about our cold July. Never heard of a dusk to dawn drive-in movie theater. That would be kinda cool for a night owl like me!

Marita - I like your west coast itinerary! I'm also thinking the reuben sounds good . . . haven't had one for months, but I'd probably have to eat it open-faced. That's a bummer that you can't use a couple hours of vacation time here and there. I do that all the time. Banana bread sounds yummy too. Hubby brought home some fudge from Mackinaw City. I've had a couple tiny pieces. I've finally started dropping weight (down 80 lbs, w00t!) after being stalled for a couple weeks, so I'm really trying to pretend it's not here calling my name . . .

80 pounds, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

PS: It's only me and DH at home. I can't even blame the dog or cat, they wouldn't touch socks, but I wound up with 4 single socks yet again!!!!!!

Or maybe they are the same lost socks I keep recycling in hopes of finding their mates miraculously, LOL.

Thanks, Marita! Maybe I can have a few bites of your banana split :goodvibes

I really think you should take the whole day off and join us :cool1:

That is sounding like a mighty fine idea right now :cool1:

I'll split my banana split with you even steven even (hey it rhymes!)

Morning all.
I know some of you don't share super personal stuff on here out in the open, but I'm pretty blunt. :)

I start intensive outpatient rehab for alcohol tonight.
I'm nervous. :)

Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I will be in sessions from 6 pm to 9 pm.
I have to go to 3 more AA meetings a week.
That's one a day!
THey don't leave you anytime to drink. ;)

Anyway, prayers and pixie dust and moral support would be appreciated.
I love you all and consider you part of my family.

That is all.
