I present to you (the collective you) the dog that was crowned the ugliest in the world today.

Thanks, Lynette - I'm feeling great too :) I say re-dirtying is a word too!

I thought that Mall Cop movie was pretty cute. Do the mall cops there really ride around on Segways? One of my goals is to be able to do the Segway tour at WDW. Maybe next year!

That's great, Moo! You'll be zipping around WDW when your trip rolls around!

They do have Segways, but they get razzed something fierce by the kids who hang out in the mall.

Lynette -- that is pretty cool. Hannah and I both said Disney Store at the same time when he was running though the mall.:lmao:

Moo-- I know it is scary looking at floor since we need so much of it. We really are not liking the quotes we got for the carpet. :sad2: Maybe I should just paint the floor and call it a day.

Sadly, that Disney Store has since closed. :sad1: Now we have to schlep to the mall that's about 25 miles from here to get to a Disney Store. Darn them!

Glad I am not the one making flooring choices. My whole house is hardwood, except for my bathrooms (both are ceramic). Every few years I get new area rugs here and there, and I'm done!

Friday night, Natasha and I visited her BFF's house for a bit (I was dropping off said BFF after a playdate at our house), and I got to see their newly renovated kitchen. The new kitchen floor is bamboo, and it's bee-yoo-tee-ful! Not sure of the pricing, but BFF's mom said it was cheaper than hardwood.

I made my dining reservations today using the online system. It was fun!
and easy.
I got california grill reservations for a night when hallowishes is on. Hallowishes is my favorite!!!
the only thing I couldn't get was 50's primetime.
which is odd.
maybe it's going to be closed?
I'm trying to pick places that seat you near or with other people cuz I'm going to be eating alone.
Since I'm paying for california grill out of pocket (what I'll be able to eat isn't worth 2 dining credits!), I've got to figure out two more places to eat.
hmmm.

Tell you what....since I'm SUCH a good friend, I'll meet you for dinner so you don't have to eat alone. All you have to do is pay for my airfare. Deal? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

This afternoon, I took Boris and Natasha to see UP in 3D. We all LOVED it!!!!!!! Of course, I spent a fair amount of time crying, but that's not really newsworthy, now is it?

My house is becoming a revolving door for the kids friends. :sad2:

The boy who had the sleep over last night is now here. Just showed up out of the blue. Then he says he has to call his mother to get her to pick him up. He said is 10:00 ok.....NO!!!! I just finished telling Hannah that she couldn't have the neighbour girl in because I wanted a break. So now this boy is here until 8:30. We just picked Nicholas up at 2:00 from this boys house. He walked over and lives about 15 minutes away.

They are playing Guitar Hero so there goes the TV for tonight....not that there is anything on anyway.

Then Hannah calls on a friend across the street and dad give her back her Nintendo Dogs for her game boy. We have been looking all over for it for it. This girl steals I tell you she took Hannah's Bolt stuffie when she was here last for a sleepover. Have a feeling that is when she got the game too. Poor Hannah was in tears because she erased all her dogs for new ones for herself. :sad2:

I hope I make it though the summer. :lmao:

NAB, I know what you mean on all counts! My house is the go-to place for my brother's 4 kids, and all my cousins' kids, as well as all my kids' friends. I console myself with the idea that at least I always know where my kids are and what they're up to. Hopefully, when they're teenagers they'll still want to be around where I can keep a watchful eye.......;)

One of my nephews has a habit of always trying to convince Boris to let him "borrow" things. Unfortunately, borrowing always turns into owning, since my soon-to-be former SIL is a SLOB, and things easily get lost forever there! And those little game cartridges are so easy to lose!

I'm just glad the Dad knows it is not hers and asks Hannah if it belongs to her. So we get it back. Hoping that the game was taken by mistake. Hannah said she will play outside now with her and won't let her in her room anymore. That's said because they play nice together, both girly girl.

I really don't mind the kids over, I just like to be asked before they drop off or show up. During the day it is ok because they come and go. I wouldn't never be out that late at age 12. I have to keep reminding Nicholas that all the time, he isn't 18 yet.

Nab - Bamboo flooring is great. It's a renewable resource you know? Because... it's grass. :thumbsup2 I don't know anything about cold basement floors, I do know that people talk about their basements flooding all the time and if yours has a chance of flooding you should go with tile. ;)

I am super sick. I haven't stayed in bed and slept on and off all day since 2003 when I got really sick while pregnant with Ethan. This virus has been going through everyone in my family since VBS and finally 2 weeks later I got it. Last night I was up every hour. Thankfully I didn't have any vomiting or much diarrhea like everyone else has had. I have a phobia of vomiting and haven't eaten much the last few days because I've been so worried about getting sick. Anyhoo, I had chills, then cold sweats, and I had to pee every hour and the baby was kicking the crap out of me all night while I was thinking away throwing up. Then early morning the achy part started. I thought my skin was on fire and my joints were going to explode. Most everyone else started getting better the next morning, but not me. I've only gotten out of bed to use the bathroom and I sat on the couch for a few minutes before I laid down and fell asleep. :rotfl: I was so dehydrated this morning that my mouth was dry and my lips were dry. No moisture at all. So Chad to to practically force feed me water, while I felt like throwing up. lol He's sending the boys over to my Mom's tonight because 1. if they get it tonight I am in no way able to take care of them and 2. if I am not better tomorrow I am in no way able to chase after Isaac. I took some Benedryl a little while ago because my legs and feet are itchy tonight(a normal occurrence since I was young) and plus hopefully it will help me sleep some since I've slept so much today.

Chad was telling the boys they were going to my Mom's because I was still so sick and Seth's first worry was if the baby is also sick. So sweet.

Yikes, MP, that doesnt sound good. Hope you feel better tomorrow. 5 young boys while super sick is not something anyone can deal with.

I'm (almost) watching a show on BBC America where they are looking for a new Maria for sound of music. I'd tell you all about it, but I wasnt paying attention. Now someone is singing "You give me Fever". I don't get the connection to sweet Maria .................. but at this point, i dont really care

Mommy P -- Hope you feel better soon. Good thing Chad is getting some water into you.

Yes I heard tile was good for basements but that would be cold for sure. We did have a crack in our foundation that has been fixed but never had water come in from there. So hopefully no water in the basement. Growing up our basement flooded for this reason so I got it fixed before it was a problem. :thumbsup2 BIL has been here off and on since April hope to finish up his part in a week or so.

morning all!

mp - sorry you're not feeling well.

big L - you can even stay a few days, if you want. and bring boris and natasha. although I probably won't pay for them.
adding an adult to my reservation is only $250.00.
so you get your airfare and I'll get your room, ticket and free dining. :thumbsup2

nab - those ds cartridges are so easy to lose! breadman and I got hayden nintendogs for christmas (and the hannah montana game) and she lost it after the first day!!!
she finally found it recently, but now she's lost her ds. :sad2:

I know we tell the kids to keep them in the case but do they listen....

It is hot out there! We just walked over to the plaza thinking there is a nice breeze we can do it. I am melting now. We have a ball game to play tonight too.

BIL didn't show today.....:headache: We are on the home stretch. He has to sand the laundry room and stairwell prime and then we can paint! Even choose my colours. He waits to long I will double guess myself on my colours.

Another floor guy came today for another estimate. Looks like it will be $6,000 to put flooring down there.:scared1: We are trying to half that but it isn't working. These people don't budge much either with there price even though we are doing a big area.

MP do hope you feel better ASAP

Moo - You look mahvelous! :goodvibes thanks for sharing!

Marita - thanks for sharing the link - do get over there!

I'm woozy - went in to get my final crowns put on my stupid teeth - and dentist decided I needed a root canal :faint: overwhelmed... my upper face is battered..

stupid teeth!

Thanks, Sandy! I officially made it to 70 lbs this weekend :cool1: So sorry to hear about your root canal. Every few days, I still get a twinge in my tooth where I had the root canal and cap done several months ago. Did you have a nice visit at the lake?

Tonight, both of my sisters and my niece went to swim class with me. It was fun! We all got a good workout.

Nabbie - Was it hot up your way? We had quite a cold front move through this evening. I was freezing when I went out to my car after class. Only 62. I turned on the heat in my car!

MommyP - Are you feeling any better today? I sure hope so :grouphug:

Has anyone heard how the bbn family's trip is going?

Cel - Sorry again about my confusing PM about the meal ressies! I guess I was more tired than I thought last night!!!

Moo - Yes I was feeling better yesterday, but my Mom kept the boys for me so I could rest. I was still dizzy and tired. I am better today, I'm willing to bet that now I probably won't be 100% until after the baby comes now.

The good thing about being sick? I lost 5 pounds. Woot! So that puts my total weight gain at 17 pounds and that's pretty good for being 33 weeks pregnant!

33 weeks

Moo MooHooty not only on the loss - but that exercise!! I need to get out there! I can find more excuses than there are mosquitos in... well.. :sad2:

Mommy P hope you are well on the road to recovery!! :wizard:

Marita are you still on those early early mornings?

Nab your bil has to know he is letting all your internet friends down who are anxiously awaiting pictures - he doesnt want to let us down now?? ;) ;)

Moo that cold front was certainly a welcome relief!! It could've waited a day imho!! :rotfl2: Being at the lake, you either drink, or "play" - DD 12 loves to drive the golf cart around the place - until she is 14 or 16 (?) she has to have a licensed driver with her - DH hadnt been up to the lake in AGES (there was a mold that kicked in his allergies something fierce! he wasnt affected this weekend! :woohoo:)

and then my favorite toy!
jetskitry1.jpg

I took dh around the lake to give him the feel of the lake - the area (inlay type of bay very tiny tho) where my parents are, is deceptively calm - so you can get up speed - do 180's - but when you go around to the far side of the lake, the wind picks up and it has some waves - love to jump waves - but if you dont want the wave over you.... etc... The man wouldnt hold on to me!! *duh - so he ended up taking dd out - she had a blast until that last day!!

That cold front came thru and the WIND - it was stronger than I've ever seen it! but I went around and around my parents side - even with white caps showing!! So much fun!!

THE BIG day - is the 4th - I'm sure I posted that my brother called a 4th of July party - and... AND for the FIRST TIME in YEARS (at least 12 -15) he asked me, and my kids to be there!! :faint: I think my biggest fear is my lack of funds - I dont want to compete with him, but I know he's going to be bringing and buying lots of food, and alcohol - the $100 sipping tequila... oh, and its his wife that's the BIG problem! Seriously that women flirts like a $2 ok, well I cant tell you but you know what I mean!! The neighbors at the lake talked about it - my cousins talk about it!! Can you imagine the first time you meet your 24 year old cousins fiance - at their destination wedding suite mind you - this lovely 49year old woman - gives him a lap dance!! WTH is wrong with people!

of course we decided to just be entertained by it. I did tell dh to grow his beard back!! :rotfl2: He loves when I say jealous type things (esp since I wink at him!!)

I still feel sore like I was in battle. I'm never going back to that dentist again btw! I know he did me a favor yesterday - but I couldnt get the image of being tortured out of my head!! IF only he had done it (the root canal) the first time! (the 5 hour visit when I had the nitrous gas) but Its over now!!

Moo I think they put some kinda metal "anchor" into the root canaled tooth to hold it in place - and that does give the sensation of :shiver:

Mommy P-- you have definitely grown since the last picture I saw. You should put Isaac's picture in your siggie and go visit the cb. I remember some people didn't like the pictures you had of the older boys with there rifles.:lmao: He is a cutie and a climber to get into the sink.

Sandy-- sounds like you been having some fun. Hope you don't get to stressed about you weekend with you brother.

We have our holiday in the middle of the week. Which is tomorrow.

Moo-- yes we got that cold front. Played baseball last night hoping it wouldn't rain on us again. I had my blanket. I have the window open today no a/c needed.

BIL just showed up. What hours he keeps. Now I can leave the kids at home while I run to the doctors. I wish we could get prescriptions over the phone, it would save me time and I can never find parking there either.:headache:

lol Nab. Remember that...the joys of the CB and the idiotic people there.

Glad you are feeling better MP- make sure you get completely rehydrated. Dehydration is a big cause of pre-term labor. You look great! So does Isaac. Gabe's hair has also really lightened up this summer- his shines more red than blond.

Hi everybodee else! Is lexmelinda ever coming back? I will be driving her way this week. I'll be sure to wave. Also to the Babynurses who took the precaution of booking an entire WDW vacation just to avoid us when we pass through LooUhvulle.;) Heh.

Anyway- I have 18 quadrillion things to do before our "veecayshun". Today I vacuumed out the car and carseats, cleaned carseats, and started my piles. Not bad considering we leave Thursday. I still have to clean the house (again! I swear I just did it), purchase provisions and actually pack instead of just make piles. That of course requires laundry- and I need to pay bills, stop the mail, etc etc etc. Oh vey.

I will check in from the East Coast. Hasta la vista.

MP, great pics!

Sandy, yikes on the dentist! And no, I haven't repeated my waking up before alarms, except for those 2 days. I am stressed to the max, with perpetual knots in my stomach. No fun, this is no job for me! We got out early today (at 4:20) because we have to work late the next two days

Twinkie, happy travels, have fun! I think Lexi has deserted us.

I was thinking of the BBN's today, it's been rainy so far this week.

DS graduates from his latest training program on October 19, so we will probably fly out for that. I'm hoping to visit Disneyland then. It's 3 hours away. Hubby was moaning about how it was a far drive and to check out airports. We drove 8 hours to Alabama :confused3
After graduation, his next station will be in Montana:eek:

Nab, hope your basement is finished soon

Moo, everyone else

Just a quick check-in. I started the weight training tonight and it really kicked my astarstar! I didn't eat enough beforehand and started getting really shaky about 2/3 of the way through, so they had me stop so I wouldn't pass out  It was a lot more fatiguing than I was expecting, but I'll be better prepared on Friday.

MommyP - You're looking great! Such a change from the last set of pics. Loved the one of Isaac in the sink :lmao:

Hiya, Twink! Sounds like you've got your hands full with trip preparation the next couple days. You ought to e-mail Lex or message her on FB.

Sandy - I have a metal band around my crown also. It took a few days to get used to it and the feel of the tooth, but that part is fine now. I don't really have a metallic "zing" from it. Looks like you ewre having fun out there on the lake!

Marita - Montana??!!! Yikes. But a trip to DL would be awesome!!! Keep us posted. I would recommend flying in and out of John Wayne Airport if you can instead of LAX. It's much more manageable and I think it may be easier to rent a car there too. I think that's what Donald and his friends did. And Vegas isn't all that far away if you want to do a side trip (like 4 or 5 hours). I've heard there are some really sweet hotel deals out there lately.
